Motion carried uIl8ll1mou81v. <br />Ramsey County Outlet to Lake Johanna <br />Lund's report was deferred to a later meeting re the status of this outlet. <br />In discussion, it was noted that the proposed lake level, resulting from the .con- <br />struction of this outlet, will be higher than formerly proposed. Concern was ex- <br />pressed re the effect this level will have on riparian properties of Lake Johanna <br />and whether the extensive filling on the Gluek farm in Roseville will compound the <br />problem. <br />"'After discussion, Wingert was requested by the Council to draft a letter to Roseville <br />relaying Couneil's concern~ re the fillin~ of the larr,e holding pond, the need for <br />control of quality and quantity of run-off from this area through the Johanna outlet, <br />etc. Copy of letter to be directed to Rice Creek Watershed District by McNiesh. <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER aICHARD O'KEU,y <br />O'Kelly reported an investment of $115,000 on September 25, 1974. for four months. <br />at 10.20%. <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JAMES WINGERT - Planning and Zoning. Board of Appeals <br />House at 3403 Lake Johanna Boulevard . <br />Matter was deferred until Mr. Reiling is in attendance. <br />It was noted that this house is not connected to the sanitary sewer. McNiesh was <br />requested to list other properties not connected to sanitary sewer (where sewer is <br />available) . <br />Planning Commission Meeting of September 24, 1974 <br />Wingert reported that the Commission has requested Attorney Lynden's presence at <br />Zoning Ordinance study meetings until the Commission completes its review of the <br />proposed ordinance draft; anticipating the review can be accomplished in less time <br />with the Attorney in attendance. <br />The Council ccrnl~lll"',~d and authorized Attorney Lynden's attendance at the study <br />meetings as .requested. <br />Audio Equipment <br />Wingert reviewed bids received for the installation of audio equipment in the Council <br />room, including 5 microphones at Council table, 2 microphones at consultants' table, <br />1 standing microphone for audience area and a tape recorder with transcribing acces- <br />saries. <br />After discussion. Wingert moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that the Council accept the <br />low bid and authorize Blumberg Photo Sound Company to install a public address <br />system in the Village Hall. as per bid received (minus the 70 x70 screen) at a cost <br />of $2,010.80. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The need for a remote speaker in the office area to accommodate large groups was dis- <br />cussed. Wingert was requested to obtain a change order for this added installation; <br />~eed for an amplifier to be determined at the time the change order is submitted for <br />Council consideration. <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES CRICHTON - Public Works, Ordinance Review <br />Invoice - Northwest Refining Company <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Olmen, that Council approve payment of $3036.31 to <br />Northwest Refining Company, at this time. to take advantage of a discount of $24.75. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Crichton advised that the Public Works Committee will consider facilities for un- <br />leaded gas at its meeting on Wednesday, October 2. <br />Fire Department Joint Meeting <br />Crichton reported that at a recent meeting with the Fire Department, ~7",,;"1J11'~ <br />Shoreview, the possibility of . ~tract (I -. -l based on~ <br /> .. l_l.A-~4"I t;.n..lftv ~~~. <br /> -2- <br />
