<br />A <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Village Council Minutes <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br />Aug. 12, 1974 <br /> <br />Four-Way Stop Request <br /> <br />Crepeau stated he highly recommends that the Council support the New <br />Brighton petition for a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of New <br />Brighton Road and County Road E. <br /> <br />After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that the Vil- <br />lage notify New Brighton that Arden HII Is concurs that 4-way stop Signs <br />are needed at New Brighton Road and County Road E. In discussion re the advisability of keeping <br />Squad 689 as,nother unmarked car, it was noted that high cost of <br />maintenance may be the result. <br /> <br />It was alSO norea that facilities for unleaded gas be considered by <br />the Public Works and Publ ic Safety Committees. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Election and Counting Boards Appointment <br /> <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Counc.;1 approve the <br />appointment of the Election and Counting Boards for the September 10, <br />1974, Primary Election, as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Voter Registration <br /> <br />McNlesh reported that the League of Women Voters has offered to register <br />voters on August 16, 17, 19 and 20, during the evening and Saturday <br />registration hours when the office is not regularly open. <br /> <br />The Council requested McNiesh to thank the League for this service. <br /> <br />Apportionment Resolutions <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Feyereisen moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Council adopt Resolu- <br />tions Nos. 74-24 and 74-25, apportionment of Assessments for Watermain <br />Improvement 72-1 and Sanitary Sewer Improvement Nos. 12 and 13. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />1975 Proposed Budget <br /> <br />Crichton moved, seconded bv Wingert, that the Council refer the 1975 <br />Proposed Budget to the Finance Committee, suggesting one alternat.ive <br />guideline to be that the Committee attempt to not increase the mill <br />rate and to not use Generai Fund Reserves.
