<br />" <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br />July 22. 19? <br /> <br />After discussion, Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Crichton, that the <br />matter be tabled to the Council meeting of July 29, pending opinion <br />from Attorney Courtney re amended Special Use Permito Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Feyerelsen noted that the Parks Committee wil~ m$et on July 23, at <br />which time the Park dedication can be reconslde~ed'for recommendation <br />to the Council on the 29tho <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCIL~AN STAN OLMEN - Finance <br /> <br />Nursery HII' Sewer Connection CharQ~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Olmen reported that the Finance Committee recommends a se~er con- <br />nection charge of $1,776.30, the amount that would have been charged <br />at the time of assessment, if Nursery Hill had been Included In <br />Sanl.tary Sewer Improvement 12-13. <br /> <br />In dlscusslon~"tt was noted by Feyerelsen that the east portion of <br />the plat woul~ve been served by sewer, if included in the Improye- <br />ment; ellmina?ing the need for the 11ft stations ?n lots 4 and 6. <br /> <br />CrIchton noted that the portion of the parcel, 200 feet in depth, <br />abutting Hamllne Avenue, was assessed In Sanitary Sewer Improvement <br />12-13, and moved thi'!t the Council make a Sanitary Sewer connection <br />charge to the Nursery Hi II parcel equal to the acreage rate charged to <br />the area In the orlg~nal assessment (SS 12-13) x acreage resulting <br />~r6m that portion of the parcel more than 200' from Hamllne up to, <br />not Including, the ~asterly two lots (lots 4 and 6). Motion was <br />seconded by Feyerelsen and carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />Lund was requested to determine amount of assessment. <br /> <br />(Note: Lund reported assessment for 2.25 acres@ $465/acre would <br />be $1(47000) <br /> <br />Door to Door Sales Permit <br /> <br />Olmen referred the Council to an application from Kevin J. Cranford <br />to sell Websters Student Handbooks, door to door. <br /> <br />After discussion. Olmen moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Council <br />deny the request. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES CRICHTON - Public Works <br /> <br />Bethel Master 'Meter <br />Crichton reviewed the master meter proposal for Bethel College and <br />Seminary, and current negotiations under consideration between Hender- <br />son and the Col lege, indicating that Bethel would be wlllin~ to in- <br />stall a master meter if cost were divided equally between Bethel and <br />the Village. Crichton reported +hat the Public Works Committee feels <br />that a master meter is advantageous primarily because it would enable <br />the Village to reduce water leakage and Improper or accidental use of <br />water from hydrants, etc. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After discussion, Crepeau moved, seconded by Crichton, that the Village <br />repurchase from Bethel the 27 existing meters at the original purchase <br />price of $5040.00, If Bethel will Install the master meter; Village <br />to pay for engineering costs. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Lund estimated engineering costs at t $I,OOC.OO. <br /> <br />McNiesh to notify Henderson of the Council action and to request that <br />he work with Bethel to effectuate the master meter Installation. <br /> <br />Public Works Department Inspection Forms <br /> <br />Crichton referred the Council to three (3) forms, recommended by the <br />Public Works Committee, for use by the Public Works Department In making <br />inspections of utility installations and road construction. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
