CrepGau, Jr. <br />at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present - Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen S-tan Olmen, <br />Charles Crichton, James Wingert, William Feyerelsen. <br /> <br />Absen-t - None. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />Also Present - Village Engineer Donald Lund, Public Works Super- <br />visor Hans Johansen, Police ChIef Pat Sexton, Clerk AdmInistrator <br />Charlotte McNlesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of May 28, 1974, were <br />approved as presented. <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY JAMES LYNDEN <br />(Absent - No Report) <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Lambros Oltch <br />Engineer Lund reported that rain, and the resultant high water, <br />have presented problems for the contractor. Actual construction <br />time Is estimated at two weeks, wl-th one week for clean-up. Com- <br />pletion date Is July 7, 1974, but Lund said he expects It will <br />be necessary for the contractor -to request an extension of time. <br />Engineer Lund noted that road restrictions In early spring, and <br />dalay In letting the contract, also kept the contractor from <br />starting construction as soon as he had anticipated (before the <br />spring rains). <br /> <br />Arden Manor <br />Engineer Lund distributed copies of a report from Suburban Engineer- <br />Ing Company, Report No. II, re Arden Manor Mobl Ie Home Park. <br /> <br />After review of this report and a memo from H. Johansen, dated <br />June 6, 1974, ~r. Johansen described the seven (7) sewer connec- <br />tions noted In his memo and the condItions of the uti II-tles pro- <br />ject. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />Lund advised that he had personally met with ~1r. Adams and had <br />thought he understood that no service connections should be made <br />to the V III age II nes until II nes had been thorough I y I nspected and <br />approved. Lund saId ha Is aware of 4 connections, but not of the <br />additIonal 3 Hoted by Johansen. He said one connection has been <br />uncovered, Inspected and ap~roved - the remaining 3 connections <br />were -too wet and caved In before Inspection could be made. <br /> <br />A thorough Inspection of the sewer mains was considered to be Im- <br />perative, and after discussion, -the mat-ter was referred -to Johan~en, <br />Lund and Suburban Engineering Company -to make the proper Inspections; <br />costs of inspections to be bl I led to Mr. Adams. <br /> <br />GlenD-au! Drainage Project <br />Crichton reported that the Public Works Committee recommends Council <br />approval of proceeding with the Glenpaul Drainage Project In accor- <br />dance with plans revised and dated June 5, 1974. <br /> <br />After review of the plans and estimated CO&ts ($7,829.00), Crichton <br />moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that the Councl I authorizes pro- <br />ceeding with legal action to obtain the necessary easements and to <br />advertise for bids.
