Motion was seconded by Olmen and carried <br />-unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORt OF COUNCILMAN STAN OLMEN - Finance <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Finance Committee Recommendations - Industrial Revenue Bonds <br />Olmen referred t~e Council to Minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting <br />of May 9, 1974, and moved Counci I adoption of RESOLUTION RECITING A <br />PROPOSAL FOR A COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT GIVING PRELIMINARY AP- <br />PROVAL TO THE PROJECT PURSUANT TO THE MINNESOTA MUNICIPAL INDUSTRIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT ACT AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR <br />APPROVAL OF SAID PROJECT TO THE COMMISSIONER OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />OF THE STATE OF ~~ I NNESOT A AND AUTHOR I ZING THE PREPARA T I ON OF NECESSARY <br />DOCUMENTS AND MATERIALS IN CONNECTION WITH SAID PROJECT. Motion was <br />seconded by Feyerelsen. <br /> <br />In discussion, it was noted that Item 2, page 3 of the Resolution <br />cites situations which are not considered appropriate to Arden Hills, <br />such as: <br /> <br />I. Prevention of the emergence of blighted and marginal <br />land, and, <br />2. Prevention of chronic unemployment, etc. <br /> <br />Motion did not carry IOlmen and Feyereisen voting In favor of the motion; <br />Crichton, Wingert and Crepeau voting In opposition). <br /> <br />Gara~e Sale Permit - Mr. and Mrs. Haroldson <br />Olmen moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, that the Council approve the <br />Permit for a garage sale at 1748 Glenvlew Avenue, May 31 and June I, <br />1974 as requested lpermit No. 74-3). Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN CHARLES CRICHTON - Public Works, Ordinance Review <br /> <br />Full Time_Emploloe <br />CrIchton moved, seconded by WIngert, that the Councl I approve the full <br />time employment of Rollyn Young In the Public Works Department, at <br />$5.10/hour; salary to be reviewed with 1975 union contract lnot at end <br />of 6-month probationary period). Motion carrIed unanimously. <br /> <br />Part Time Employoes <br />Crichton moved that the Council approVe the part time employment of <br />Steve Zehm @ $3.25/hour and Mike Mankowski @ $2.75/hour, in the Public <br />Works Department.
