Motion carried (Feyerefsen, Olmen, Crepeau voting In favor of the motion; Crichton and Wingert voting In opposition). Feyerelsen moved that Counci I approve advertisement for bids on May 9 and r~ay 16, 1974; bid openi ngto be May 24, 1974, at II :00 a.m., for Council consideration on r~i]Y 28th. Motion was seconded by Crichton and carried unanimously. Storm Drainage - Lexington Avenue, South of County Road E Lund reported that he met with representatives from Shorevlew, C. G. Rein Company, I. C. Systems re surface drainage in the area re Engineer Nervlg's letter dated 4/10/74, Shorevlew. He reporfed that the problem Is being resolved by lowering the ditch along Lexington, and C. G. wi II continue to ditch untl I storm sewers are completed. Private Lift Station - Stave and Clatterbuck Lund described the private 11ft station proposed to serve two resi- dences on Snel ling Avenue at Highway 51, south of Cummings Lane. He explained that the area Is low, and the proposed sewer line wi II require bermlng to get the required depth for a hookup to the Village sewer on the east end of Cummings Lane. He recommended this proposed sewer Installation as a reasonable solution to the problem. After discussion of pipe size, possible problems re connection to municipal sewer, maintenance of lines etc., the matter was referred to the Public Works Committee for Its recommendations to the Council for cons I deration at the next Council meetl ng. Arden Manor Status Report Lund distributed Arden Manor Mob!le Home Inspection Report #8, dated 4/25/74. After review of the report, Lund was requested to determine If peat In Streets "F", "H" and 500 feet of "G" has been excavated as noted, and whether pond has been pumped and streets compacted. Lambros Ditch Project Lund advised that he wi I I schedule a pre-construction conferenc~ after which construction will begin on this project. REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER RICHARD O'KELLY Treasurer O'Kelly reported cash balances In the three banks and pro- posed Investments as follows: $50,000, maturing on r~ay 2, 1974, will be re-Invested at First National Bank of St. Paul - expecting to Invest $100,000 for a better Interest rate. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JAMES WINGERT - Planning and Zoning, Board of Appeals Casa No. 73-45, Propos_d Surface Watsr Ordlnancs .- - Shirley Ludlow reviewed the Planning Commission recommendations re Proposed Rules for Surface Water Operation on Lake Johanna and referred the Counc!
