Motion was seconded by Crichton and <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Storm Drainage - Lexington Avenue, South of County Road E <br />Lund reported that he met with representatives from Shorevlew, C. G. <br />Rein Company, I. C. Systems re surface drainage in the area re Engineer <br />Nervlg's letter dated 4/10/74, Shorevlew. He reporfed that the problem <br />Is being resolved by lowering the ditch along Lexington, and C. G. <br />wi II continue to ditch untl I storm sewers are completed. <br /> <br />Private Lift Station - Stave and Clatterbuck <br />Lund described the private 11ft station proposed to serve two resi- <br />dences on Snel ling Avenue at Highway 51, south of Cummings Lane. He <br />explained that the area Is low, and the proposed sewer line wi II require <br />bermlng to get the required depth for a hookup to the Village sewer <br />on the east end of Cummings Lane. He recommended this proposed sewer <br />Installation as a reasonable solution to the problem. <br /> <br />After discussion of pipe size, possible problems re connection to <br />municipal sewer, maintenance of lines etc., the matter was referred to <br />the Public Works Committee for Its recommendations to the Council for <br />cons I deration at the next Council meetl ng. <br /> <br />Arden Manor Status Report <br />Lund distributed Arden Manor Mob!le Home Inspection Report #8, dated <br />4/25/74. <br /> <br />After review of the report, Lund was requested to determine If peat <br />In Streets "F", "H" and 500 feet of "G" has been excavated as noted, <br />and whether pond has been pumped and streets compacted. <br /> <br />Lambros Ditch Project <br />Lund advised that he wi I I schedule a pre-construction conferenc~ after <br />which construction will begin on this project. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER RICHARD O'KELLY <br /> <br />Treasurer O'Kelly reported cash balances In the three banks and pro- <br />posed Investments as follows: <br /> <br />$50,000, maturing on r~ay 2, 1974, will be re-Invested at <br />First National Bank of St. Paul - expecting to Invest $100,000 <br />for a better Interest rate. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JAMES WINGERT - Planning and Zoning, Board of <br />Appeals <br /> <br />Casa No. 73-45, Propos_d Surface Watsr Ordlnancs <br />.- - <br /> <br />Shirley Ludlow reviewed the Planning Commission recommendations <br />re Proposed Rules for Surface Water Operation on Lake Johanna and <br />referred the Counc! I to a list of proposed enforcement measures <br />racommended by the subcommittee (See Planning Commission Minutes of <br />4/16/74) . <br /> <br />iJ <br />~i <br />~l'li <br /> <br />.1 <br /> <br />After discussion, Wingert nibv!3d, seconded bv Crichton, that the Council <br />hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 16, 1974, at 8:00 p.m. at the <br />Village Hal I, on the proposed Rules for Watercraft Operation on Johanna <br />Lake.
