CREPEAU, JR. - General Government, Public <br />Safety <br /> <br />ProPosed Ordinance Amendment <br />Mayor Crepeau reported that the Police Department has recommenaea <br />an amendmenT to -I-h.e II q uor Ord I na nce, wh I ch has been forwarded TO the <br />PublIc Safety Committee for Its reco..enda~lons to the CouncIl. <br /> <br />Midwest Ambulance SQrvice <br />Mayor Crepeau reported that MidweST Ambulance Service Is owned by a <br />resident of Araen Hills, and he has asked permission to rent the "Barn" <br />on New Brighton Road to garage two ambulances. <br /> <br />After discussion of possible use of the barn by the Parks Department <br />or Public Works Department, the Councl I referred the matter to the <br />Parks and Recreation Committee and Public Works Committee for recom- <br />mendations to the Council. <br /> <br />The Council noted that if the Village Is not going to use the building, <br />It should be determined If we can legally lease it and/or permit Its <br />use for purposes other than Village use. <br /> <br />Suburban League of Municipalities <br />Mayor Crepeau referred the Councl I to a letter from Edward Erickson, <br />Mayor of New Hope, urging Arden HII Is to join the Suburban League of <br />Municipalities. <br /> <br />Matter was deferred to a later Councl I Meeting. <br /> <br />Senator Milton Request <br />Crepeau reported that Senator Milton has requested to meet with his <br />constituents and the Arden Hills Councl I about twice during the balance <br />of 1974, preferably at 7:30 p.m. immediately preceding a Council <br />Meeting. Council agreed to these meetIngs being scheduled at a future <br />date. <br /> <br />.....nate F I I e No. 2004 <br />Crepeau advised that S.F. 12004, A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO MUNICI- <br />PALITIES: PROVIDiNG FOR REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE <br />PROSECUTION OF HiGHWAY PATROL TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS, AMENDING MINNESOTA <br />STATUTES 1971, SECTION 2990.03, SUBDIVISION 5, has been adopted. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator McNlesh was requested to write to Representative <br />Anderson and Senators Ashbach and Milton. thanking them for their <br />efforts, which resulted In the adoption ()f the bill. <br /> <br />Salary Increase Request - Officer John Picha <br />Crepeau referred the Council to the "Ranking List" prepared by Police <br />Chief Sexton. After review, Crichton moved, seconded by Feyerelsen, <br />that the Council approves the salary Increase to $5.66/hr. for Officer <br />John Picha, effective April I, 1974.
