Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Letter from Mr. Moore Re Floral Orlve Sewer <br />Matter was referred to the Public Works Committee for Its recommenda- <br />tions to the Council at. the meeting on January 28, 1974. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN WILLIAM FEYEREISEN - Parks and Recreation, <br />Human Rights <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Appointment <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Olmen, that the Council approve the <br />ment of Gerald McCauley to the Parks and Recreation Committee. <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />appolnt- <br />Motion <br /> <br />Employment Approval for Recreation Programs . <br />Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Council approve the <br />employment of the following Instructors during the winter months: <br /> <br />Marge Bailey @ S3.00/hr - Women's Volleyball <br />Jed Knuttlla @ S3.50/hr - Men's Volleyball <br />Bobble Mischke @ $5.00/hr - Youth Figure Skating <br />Charles Brun @S5.00/hr - Cross Country Skiing <br /> <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Real Estate Sub-committee Report <br />John Buckley reported that a portion of the Moss property at the western <br />side of Ingerson Park is available for purchase by the Village, provid- <br />Ing a western access to the park. <br /> <br />He described the property as being approximately! acre In size, with <br />about 20 ft. of width on the Fernwood cul-de-sac and spreading to <br />about 50 ft. to 75 ft. at the eastern edge, abutting Ingerson Park. <br /> <br />Buckley reported .that Mr. Moss has had an appraisal made. and the Parks <br />and Recreation Committee recommends that the Councl I obtain a second <br />appraisal prior to consideration of the purchase of this iot. <br /> <br />Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Council authorize the <br />Real Estate Sub-committee to obtain a second appraisal, as proposed <br />by the Parks and Recreation Committee. Motion carried unanimouSly. <br /> <br />Secretary for Parks and Recreation Committee <br />Clerk Administrator McNiesh was requested to obtain secretarial <br />assistance to take minutes of the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />meetings and Public Works Committee meetings. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Human Rlghts Com~lsslon Special Meeting <br />Upon the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Committee, Feyer- <br />elsen moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Council approve the follow- <br />I~g 1974 appointments to the Human Rights Commission: <br /> <br />Richard Ericson <br />Ulysses Holley <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Joseph North <br /> <br />- Chairman <br />- Ad hoc member as liaison to the Planning <br />Commission <br />- Ad hoc member on Housing Study Sub-committee <br /> <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Area of Affirmative Action <br />Feyerelsen reported that the Human Rights Commission Is currently re- <br />viewing Federal legislation re the employer's role In the hiring of a <br />certain percentage of minority group employees; report will be forth- <br />coming. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
