McCal I made a visual survey of <br />the ~ounty lights, which are to be turned over to the City for <br />maini'enance, TO see \lhicn iignls 'rney reCommeno ';.11e Ci i'y re-rain; no;'eo <br />certain lights which mutually benefit adjacent municipalities, costs <br />of which could be shared etc. <br /> <br />Getty reported that in his discussion re the possible shutting off of <br />some lights on the AI'den Hills border streets, Shoreview's City <br />Manager Dickson Indicated that Shoreview wi II possibly add lights, <br />rather than eliminate them; Engineer Nervig advised that between <br />County Road D and Highway 96, Shoreview currently has 18 lights and <br />Arden Hill s 4 lights. <br /> <br />Rosevllle's Pub Ilc WorKs 01 rector, reported that Rosevi lie has no <br />intention of picking up the cost of the lights; Rosevllle has <br />instigated legal proceedings which Is currently before the Attorney <br />General for an oplnlot'. <br /> <br />New Brighton wi II benefit by the program; consequently are in favor <br />of the turn-over to That City. <br /> <br />After discussion, Caunci 1 deferred action pending the Attorney <br />General's opinion and authorized Clerk Administrator and City Attorney <br />to cooperate with other communities in efforts to not take over <br />maintenance costs of the lights.
