After discussion, <br />Council requested McNlesh to advise Ramsey County Grants-in-Aid <br />Coordln.ator, Greg McEI roy, that Arden Hili s declines participation <br />In the OEDP-US Department of Commerce Program for Overall Economic <br />Development. (Copies of letter to be sent to Senators Humphrey and <br />Anderson and to Representative Vento). <br /> <br />Payrolls <br />Woodburn moved. <br />as presented. <br /> <br />seconded by Crichton, that Council approve the Payrolls <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Garba e Hauler License - Willie Gra <br />McN esh referred ouncll to appl cation for Garbage Hauler License <br />submitted by Willie Gray; reported that Village Health Officer, Or. <br />Ausmann. has approved the application. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Crichton moved. seconded by Woodburn, that Council approve Issuance <br />of a Garbage Hauler License to Willie Gray for the balance of 1977. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Miller Driveway - Status Report <br />McNlesh reported that she has been advised that the driveway should <br />be completed within a few weeks; the contract has been let. <br /> <br />Handicapped Ramp at Vlllaqe Hall <br />Council was referred to memo from Johansen re proposed location of <br />the Village Hall ramp for the handicapped. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council approved the ramp location as proposed In Johansen's memo. <br /> <br />Chamber of Commerce - Industrial/Commercial Promotions Group <br />Crepeau requested Council's In-put re projects on which Arden Hills <br />would like this group's participation. <br /> <br />Council unanimously concurred that the vacation of the arsenal property, <br />by the Federal Government, would be most beneficial to Arden Hills; <br />suggested that Vice President Mondale, Senators Humphrey and Anderson <br />and Representative Vento be contacted. <br /> <br />AUQust Public Safety Committee MeetlnQ <br />Crepeau agreed to attend the August, 1977 Public Safety Committee Meet- <br />Ing; Crichton will not be able to attend. <br /> <br />Poll~e Department Report <br />Crichton reported that 10 applicants took the exam for Pollee Chief; <br />tests are currently being scored. <br /> <br />Council agreed that extra coverage Is needed. and should be provided <br />by the Arden Hills Pollee Department. on Friday and Saturday nights. <br /> <br />AdJournment <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Wingert, that the meeting adjourn at <br />10:54 ~.m.
