Minutes of Regular Council Meeting Page seven July I I, 1977 OTHER BUSiNESS Pollee Review Board Crichton reported that about 30 applications for Police Chief were sent out; 18 have been returned and reviewed; 13 have been InvIted to take the written test which will be given on Saturday, July 16th at 1:00 p.m. and on Thursday evening, July 21st at 8:00 p.m. at the VIllage Hall; oral review by the Review Board, and a psychological test will then be scheduled. Park DedIcatIon NeQotlatlons Crichton and Wingert reported that no negotiations have been made re pending park dedications to date. . Metropolitan Systems Statement WIngert reported that the Systems Statement has been received; re- visions can be made; have 60 days to reply. Wingert said he wIll review the Statement with the Planning Commis- sion for Its recommendations to Council. (Hanson left the meetIng at 12:35 a.m.) Approval of Additional Tennis Instructors Councl I was referred to memo from Buckley (7-8-77) re need for additional tennis Instructors. Crichton moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Counci I approve the hIring of the following tennIs Instructors at the rates noted In Buckley's memo: Joan Fergus Chuck Bufton Ed Oavles Heidi Pereson Motion carried unanimously. Approval of Site Improvement at Floral Park Council was referred to memo from Buckley re Site Improvement of Floral Park which Is programed for development In 1977. CrIchton noted that the proposed site development, outlined In Buckley's memo, Is in accord wIth items as budgeted and In accord with Floral Park plans. CouncIl, therefore, concurred with site improvement as outlined. Proposed ChanQe to Comprehensive Park Plan Deferred to Council Meeting of July 25th. Reauestlna and Authorizing Metro Councl I HRA to Apply for Grant Funds re Home Improvement Grant ProQrams In Arden HIlls CrIchton moved, seconded by Wingert, to reconsider Council's previous motion of June 27th which did not carry (one vote In favor of adoption of the resolution; one vote In opposition; one abstention). Motion carried unanImously. After discussion, Wingert moved that CouncIl approve Resolution No. 77-36 and authorize Its execution by the Mayor and Clerk Adminis- trator on behalf of the City of A~den Hills. Motion was seconded by Crichton and carried (Wingert, Crichton, Crepeau votIng In favor of the motion; Woodburn abstaining). Claims and Payrol Is WIngert moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council approve the Claims and two Payrolls, Including the supplementary disbursements, as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. -7-
