Motion carried unanImously. <br /> <br />May 23, 1977 <br /> <br />Finance Committee Recommendations for Financing Pending improvements <br />Council was referred to the Minutes of the finance CommIttee Meet- <br />Ing of May 18, 1977, and to McNlesh's memo to the Finance Sub- <br />committee re Financing Improvements (May 16, 1977). <br /> <br />After discussion re anticipated bonding of SI,774,000, Hanson <br />moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council refer the bonding matter <br />to Bond Counsel PopoviCh for his review and recommendatIons re <br />Chatham, Edgewater South, Heights of Johanna Lake and Karth Lake <br />projects. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE BUILDING INSPECTOR LARRY SQUIRES <br /> <br />Squires referred Council to his memo of May 20, 1977: <br /> <br />A. Case No. 77-19. Richard Miner - VarIance. 1309 Amble <br />Road <br />After discussion re methods to avoid future construction <br />~hlch may result In similar variance situations, Squires <br />noted that actual staking of lots is Impractical and <br />costly; certificate of survey also Is an additional cost <br />factor, but Is required when warranted; suggested that <br />the situation Is atypical, and wi I I be mindful of It In <br />Issuing permits. <br />B. Case No. 76-38. VarIance for Garage - Adolph Miller <br />McNlesh was requested to call MIles Garage re driveway <br />construction status. <br />C. Annual Spr.lnQ Cleanup <br />Squires reported that he plans to proceed with the annual <br />spring cleanup survey of the Industrial and commercial <br />districts . <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMJNISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Payroll <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Crichton, tbat Council approve the <br />Payroll as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Proposed 1978 BudQet Calendar <br />McNlesh referred Council to Proposed 1978 Budget Calendar for <br />Council's recommendations. <br /> <br />In discussion It was noted that a pubelc Hearing should be scheduled <br />re proposed use of Federal Revenue SharIng Funds; also suggested <br />that Budget Calendar dates of August 5th and September 22nd and 26th <br />be given to Town Crier for publication. <br /> <br />Letter from Dreyfus ReQuestlnQ Extension of Landscape Completion <br />for Hunters Park <br />After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Hanson, that Council <br />authorize an extension for completion of the Hunters Park land- <br />scaping until August I, 1977. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Landscape Report re Arden Plaza <br />McNlesh referred Council to Landscape Inspector Bert Schutta's <br />Report re Landscaping at Arden Plaza. <br /> <br />After discussion of alternate plantlngs proposed, Councl I concurred <br />with Schutta's recommended changes In report of May 23, 1977. <br /> <br />Erickson Request for Attorney's letters re Proposed HIQher Learning <br />Districts <br />Council determined to not release the letters; matter Is not a <br />consideration at this time. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
