Motion carried unanimously (Woodburn was not <br />present when vote was taken). <br /> <br />... Other Business <br /> <br />Joint Powers A reement re Fire Protection <br />anson reported re Specia Mee Ing on March 12, 1977; <br />Fire Board to work out details of the Joint Powers Agreement for <br />report at Special Meeting on Tuesday, March 29th at the Shorevlew <br />Village Hall at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />(McNlesh was requested to check whether entire Councils, or Fire <br />Board representatives, are expected to attend meeting, and to advise <br />Council members. Lynden was requested to report to Crichton or Wood- <br />burn re legality of use of money from sale of equipment for pension <br />fu,nd. Council noted that temporary agreement will have to be ,ex- <br />tended beyond 3/31/77. <br /> <br />Union Contract Proposal - Police Department <br />Crichton reviewed the status of the union contract proposal to ~ate; <br />a tentative slt~atlon at this point. Crichton noted that only a few <br />si~nlflcant Items remain unsolved. <br /> <br />In discusSion, Council noted that the pay scale and job description <br />for Police Chief ,must be established before City can advertise the <br />position. Council also concurred that present arrangement re the <br />unmarked squad car be terminated as of 3/31/77. <br /> <br />McNlesh was requested to call the list of persons recommended to <br />serve on the Rev j ew Boa rd re the i r \II I III ngness to serve. Mayor Crepeau <br />appointed Crichton to serve as the Council member on the Board and <br />CQuncil concurred with the appointment; Review Board Is to review and/ <br />,'or I nterv I ew the app II cants for Po lice Ch I ef. <br /> <br />North Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce <br />~r. Dan Bucholz~ North Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce, referred <br />Counci I to his letter of 3/10/77 and attached Position Statement and <br />Resolution re Crime Prevention Reward Fund, asking that Arden Hills <br />p.art lei pate. <br /> <br />'''ter discussion, Woodburn moved that Arden Hills Council approve the <br />concept of the North Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce Crime Prevention <br />Reward Fund. Ity <br />study, they must have the petition from the municipalities; noted also <br />that cost of projects will be assessed to the benefitted properties, <br />through the County; ml!
