Lindquist, I I II Ingerson, suggested that, in addition to <br />the objections she had given at previous meetings, she would like <br />Counci I to "save the trees, if they can't save the people". <br /> <br />Mr. R. Peterson noted the danger of backing from driveways onto <br />a 4-lane road. <br /> <br />After discussion, motion did not carry (Wingert, Crichton voting <br />In favor of the motion; Hanson, Woodburn, Crepeau voting in <br />opposition). <br /> <br />Hanson moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Councl I grants concept <br />approval of the 52' proposed road widening of Lexin9ton Avenue, <br />between County Road 0 and County Road E, and authorizes the County <br />Engineer to proceed with plans and specifications. Motion carried <br />(Hanson, Woodburn, Crepeau voting In favor of the motion; Wingert, <br />Crichton voting in opposition). <br /> <br />February Council Meetings <br />Regular Council Meetings will be held on February 14th and February <br />28th at 7:30 p.m. at the Vi Ilage Hall. <br /> <br />Rice Creek Watershed District <br />McNlesh advised that the Rice Creek Watershed District has requested <br />1'0 use the Vi II age Hall the third Wednesday of each month, as well <br />as the 2nd and 4th. 3rd Wednesday would be specifically used for <br />their Long Lake Drainage program studies. <br /> <br />Council authorized Rice Creel( Watershed District's use of the Village <br />Hall on the three WedneSdays specified; rent for the three nlghtst~:~ <br />for i2 months was set at $300.00. ($25.00/month). ~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Payroll <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council approve the <br />Payroll as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Finance Committee Referral <br />Counci I referred the Antirecession Federal Assistance Fund ($849.00) <br />to the Finance Committee for its recommendations to Councl I as to <br />I ts use. <br /> <br />Johansen Vacation <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Hanson, that Counci I authorl ze three <br />days compensatory time off for Johansen. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ener~y Conservation <br />Council discussed the various energy saving procedures that Arden <br />HI I Is has Instigated, and wil I continue to follow through the <br />energy crises; requested McNiesh to relay Council's conservation <br />measures to Governor Perpich. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
