<br />l, . <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Counci I Meeting Novnmber 8, 1976 <br />Page two <br /> <br />After discussion, Council requested that a list of pending Items <br />to be resolved, after park easement is executed, be prepared for <br />Council's consideration. <br /> <br />Residents of Arden Manor expressed the fol~owlng concerns: <br /> <br />I. Want park completed and want a livable park In which . <br />to live. <br />2. W~nt adequate water pressure. <br />3. Want adequate sewer system. <br />4. Want wood-stde~ homes. <br />5. Want swimming pool completed. <br /> <br />~ Harriet Avenue Extension <br />Lynden referred Council to his letter of 11-5-76 re Rlght-of- <br />Way Acquisition for Harriet Avenue Extension and to Engineer <br />Christoffersen's letter of 11-3-76, outlining procedure customarIly <br />followed. <br /> <br />In discussion, Mr. Brown (Dreyfus) reported that Dreyfus defInitely <br />plans to start Immediately with the apartment plans, pending <br />Council's finalization of the plans for Harriet Avenue. Crlthton <br />noted that consideration be given to extension of pathway under <br />the east-west Harriet Avenue extension, prior to road's turn to <br />the north. <br /> <br />Woodb~rn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Councl I authorize <br />Engineer to prepare legal description of the right-of-way to be <br />acquired, tor Attorney Lynden. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Bussard Court - Lot 10 Dralnaqe <br />Lynden referred Council to his letter of 11-8-76, and to Engineer's <br />letter of 11-2-76 and attached Summary of Recorded Events Leading <br />up to Lippert's Letter dated October 21, 1976. <br /> <br />Lippert noted that Instead of following the 10' drainage easement <br />along the north edge of Carlson's lot (Lot 10, Block 1 Bussard <br />Addition), water goes diagonally across the property; lot is <br />being eroded; drainage should remaIn within the easement. Lippert <br />stated that Rice Creek Watershed seems to say that drainage could <br />go underground; does not Indicate around which corner pipe should <br />be extended. (A copy of "Summary of Events" was given to Mr. <br />1I ppert. ) <br /> <br />After discussion, Council referred matter to City Engineer and <br />Attorney to effect a meeting with representatives ot Rice Creek <br />Watershed District, Mr. Bussard and the Carl sons for the purpose <br />of resolving the matter, and to notify Attorney Lippert. <br /> <br />ResolutIon No. 76-59. Councl I, Committees and Volunteers Within <br />Purview of Workmen's Compensation Act. <br />Lynden referred Councl I to draft of Resolution, recommending adop- <br />tion thereof. <br /> <br />~ After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Crichton, that Counel I <br />approve Resolution No. 76-59, RESOLUTION AUTHORiZING 1NCLUSION OF <br />COUNCiLMEN, COMMiTTEE MEMBERS, POLICE RESERVE OFFiCERS AND CERTAIN <br />VOLUNTEER CITiZENS IN WORKMEN'S COMPENSATiON COVERAGE OF CITY. <br />Motion carried unanImously. <br /> <br />Case No. 76-15. Skyline Builders <br />It was noted by Councl I that the permit to temporarily stockpile <br />class 5 material and white sand on property east of bus barns <br />(between County Road F and 1-694) will expIre on December 1,1976, <br />If preliminary plat has not been approved by that date. <br /> <br />Council requested McNlesh to remind Skyline Builders of expiration <br />date of stockpiling permit, and their agreement to remove fill If <br />plat Is not approved by that time. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
