Crepeau, Jr. , Councilmen James Wingert, <br /> Charles Crichton, Robert Woodburn. <br /> Absent - None. <br /> Also Present - Treasurer Donald Lamb, Engineer Donald Christoffersen, <br />. Finance Committee Chairman Ward Hanson, Parks Director <br /> John Buckley, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNlesh, <br /> Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> County Road F Improvement - Change Orders 'I and U2 <br /> A. Change Order No.2 - Water Main <br /> Chrlstofferse~ referred Council to Change Order No.2, for <br /> extension of the water main within the County Road F rlght- <br /> of-way; explaining that the change order is necessitated <br /> because the anticipated easement for the water main on the <br /> Reiling property (south of County Road F) has not been ob- <br /> teined; contractor (C.W. Houle) Is about at stage of construc- <br /> tion when line must be Installed or omitted trom the project. <br /> Christoffersen explained that the water line was not Included <br /> In the plans because of the tentative agreement wIth Reiling <br /> that he would grant an easement to the Village for the water <br /> main; construction of the main on Reiling easement to be de- <br /> layed until development In this area dictated Its need. <br /> After discussion with Mr. Larson, representing Mrs. DIRe's <br /> Interest (owner of property north of County Road F and Lexlng- <br /> tonl and Mr. Re II I ng (owner of property south of County Road F <br /> and Lexlngtonl, Woodburn moved, seconded by Cr'chton, that <br /> Counc I I approve Change Order No.2, for installation of water- <br /> main I n County Road F rlght-ot-way, unless signed easement Is <br /> rece I ved In the Village office by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Octo- <br /> ber 5, 1976. Motion carried unanlmous!y. <br /> B. Change Order No. I - Change in Grade <br /> Chrl stoffersen referred Council to Change Order No. I, report- <br /> Ing that the State Highway Department has requested a change <br /> In grade at Hamllne Avenue. Christoffersen estimated cost at <br /> $3,563. <br /> After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Woodburn, that <br /> Counc I I approve Change Order No. I @ estimated cost of $3,563, <br /> as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Storm Sewer - Proposed Cost Apportionment <br />. ChriSToffersen proposed that an equitable spilt of the $23,800 <br /> estimated storm sewer costs, as outlined In Engineer's letter of <br /> 10/4/76 would be as follows: <br /> Shorevlew $ 10, lOa <br /> Ramsey Co. 4,900 <br /> Arden HI' Is 8,800 <br /> He said this matter will be discussed by Shorevlew at Its meeting <br /> tonight. <br /> In discussion, Counc II expressed concern re the entire drainage <br /> area; noted that participation In this agreement, at County Road F, <br /> would affect future drainage as other areas In Shorevlew and Arden <br /> Hills are developed; questioned practicality of delaying this agree- <br /> ment unt il plan with Shoreview and Arden HI lis for downstream <br /> drainage can be agreed upon. Counc II agreed that cost distribution <br /> seemed fa I r; if commitment as to quantity of water anticipated to <br /> dra in Into Arden Hills can be determined lnot to exceed current cfsl <br /> agreement could be worked out. <br /> -1- <br />
