Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Robert Woodburn, <br />James Wingert. <br />Absent - CouncIlman Charles Crichton. <br />Also Present - Village Treasurer Donald Lamb, Public Works Super- <br />visor Hans Johansen, Clerk Administrator Charlotte <br />McNlesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council approve the <br />Minutes of the Special Councl I Meeting of September 8, 1976, and the <br />Regular Council Meetinp of September 13, 1976,. as submitted. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLQQR <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR HANS JOHANSEN <br /> <br />Johansen referred Council to hIs memo of 9/23/76 re the following: <br /> <br />Manpower for Snow PlowlnQ <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by WIngert, that Councl I euthorlze the <br />hiring of Mark Peterson at $4.50/hr. and Steve Zehm, at current <br />pay rate, for Public Works specIal services as outllned In memo <br />of 9/23/76. MotIon carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council approve the hIring <br />of Mark Peterson by the Parks Department at $3.50/hr. untIl December <br />31, 1976, as ,er memo from Buckley (9/24/76). MotIon carried <br />unanImously. <br /> <br />Standby Power for LIft Stations <br />Johansen reported that the Public Works Committee recommends <br />the purchase of a mobile standby generator for 11ft station operation. <br /> <br />After discussIon, Wingert moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council <br />authorize preparation of specifications for diesel type unit; <br />Engineer to review specs and advertise tor bIds. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Landscape Presentation for Booster, Tower and Lift Stations 10 & 8 <br />Johansen showed sketches of proposed landscaplnp for the water <br />booster station, water tower and sewer 11ft stat)ons 8 8. 10, which <br />were prepared and recommended by the Parks Committee, and are <br />recommended for Council approval by the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />After discussion, CouncIl concurred with the recommend~ng <br />plans for lift stations 8 & 10 and the water tower and booster <br />station properties, as shown on the sketches presented. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSiON RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />Case No. 76-32, Sldeyard Variance for Gara!:!e - DavId Gehrke, 1854 <br />Glenpaul Ave. <br />WIngert referred Council to the applIcation for a 5' sideyard <br />variance (1854 Glenpaul Avenue) to construct a 24' X 24' garage in <br />the rear yard; exIsting attached I-car garage to be removed; new <br />garage wi1 I utilize exIsting driveway extended. Wingert explained <br />that the house Is to be remodeled, and with the removal of the <br />ex1stlng garage, house side setback wi II then conform to ordInance <br />requ I rements. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
