<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Page five <br /> <br />June 14, 1976 <br /> <br />~ul Iding Coordinator Costs <br />Buckley reported that Building Coordinator costs have been substan- <br />tiated; Arden Hil Is received its budget figure from the Community <br />Education Department; therefore, recommends Vi Ilage pay the amount bud- <br />geted. Buckley was requested to submit copies of Arden Hills Building <br />Coordinator costs to Council for its consideration. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 193 <br />Buckley reported that there are situations when beer drinking may be <br />desirable in the Village parks (e.g. after slo-pitch games, family <br />unit picnics, etc.); Parks Committee requests that matters involving <br />park usage be referred to it for its recommendations, prior to Council <br />action. <br /> <br />Council advised that Ordinance No. 193 was adopted to try to solve a <br />"very real problem" at one park; considered it necessary to have same <br />regulations In all parks within the Village for enforcement purposes. <br /> <br />Buckley said he will send copies of Ord. No. 193 to team managers and <br />request their cooperation,and comments. <br /> <br />Dutch Elm <br />Buckley reported that Dutch Elm disease is very prevalent in Arden <br />HII Is this year, particularly in the Lake Josephine area; citizens <br />have been most cooperative - really want to do what is best to eliminate <br />spread of the disease; this year wi I I probably be the peak year - should <br />experience a reduction of Dutch Elm disease next year. <br /> <br />Cummings Park Plan Proposals <br />Buckley reported that concept plans for Cummings Park are completed and <br />will be considered by the Parks Committee at its next meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />On-sale Liquor License Fee - Arden Hills Club <br />Counci I was referred to memo from Larry SqUYres dat~d 6/4/76 and to <br />letter from Arden Hills Club requesting the reduced liquor license fee. <br /> <br />After discussion, Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council <br />approve the $3500 annual on-sale liquor license fee, based on report <br />from Larry Squires dated 6/4/76; Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />McNlesh was requested to advise Arden Hills Club of Council's action <br />wh I ch is based on areas noted I n report of Bu i I ding Inspector; liquor <br />will no longer be consumed at poolside etc. <br /> <br />Federal Revenue Sharin Planned Use Re ort <br />McNlesh referred Council to her memo of 4/76 re suggested "Planned <br />Expenditures" for Federal Revenue Sharing 1th Entitlement Period. <br /> <br />After discussion, Woodburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Councl I <br />publish the Planned Use Report for the 7th Entitlement Period as fol lows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Audit Fee and Publishing, Fed. W. Houle Landscaping <br />Company, I nc. <br />McNiesh referred Counci I to Application for Payment No.2 to C. W. Houle <br />Landscaping Co.; noted that $21,006.54 does not include 10% retainage. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Counci I approve application <br />for Payment No.2, authorizing payment of $21,006.54.
