Minutes of Regular Council Meeting Page five June 14, 1976 ~ul Iding Coordinator Costs Buckley reported that Building Coordinator costs have been substan- tiated; Arden Hil Is received its budget figure from the Community Education Department; therefore, recommends Vi Ilage pay the amount bud- geted. Buckley was requested to submit copies of Arden Hills Building Coordinator costs to Council for its consideration. . Ordinance No. 193 Buckley reported that there are situations when beer drinking may be desirable in the Village parks (e.g. after slo-pitch games, family unit picnics, etc.); Parks Committee requests that matters involving park usage be referred to it for its recommendations, prior to Council action. Council advised that Ordinance No. 193 was adopted to try to solve a "very real problem" at one park; considered it necessary to have same regulations In all parks within the Village for enforcement purposes. Buckley said he will send copies of Ord. No. 193 to team managers and request their cooperation,and comments. Dutch Elm Buckley reported that Dutch Elm disease is very prevalent in Arden HII Is this year, particularly in the Lake Josephine area; citizens have been most cooperative - really want to do what is best to eliminate spread of the disease; this year wi I I probably be the peak year - should experience a reduction of Dutch Elm disease next year. Cummings Park Plan Proposals Buckley reported that concept plans for Cummings Park are completed and will be considered by the Parks Committee at its next meeting. REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR On-sale Liquor License Fee - Arden Hills Club Counci I was referred to memo from Larry SqUYres dat~d 6/4/76 and to letter from Arden Hills Club requesting the reduced liquor license fee. After discussion, Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council approve the $3500 annual on-sale liquor license fee, based on report from Larry Squires dated 6/4/76; Motion carried unanimously. McNlesh was requested to advise Arden Hills Club of Council's action wh I ch is based on areas noted I n report of Bu i I ding Inspector; liquor will no longer be consumed at poolside etc. Federal Revenue Sharin Planned Use Re ort McNlesh referred Council to her memo of 4/76 re suggested "Planned Expenditures" for Federal Revenue Sharing 1th Entitlement Period. After discussion, Woodburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Councl I publish the Planned Use Report for the 7th Entitlement Period as fol lows: . Audit Fee and Publishing, Fed. Revenuo Sharing Fund Replacing of Storm Grates Ordinance Codification Park Site Improvement Total $500.00 2,650.00 7,500.00 2,733.00 $13,383.00 Motion carried unanimouSly. Application for Payment No.2, Indian Oaks II - C. W. Houle Landscaping Company, I nc. McNiesh referred Counci I to Application for Payment No.2 to C. W. Houle Landscaping Co.; noted that $21,006.54 does not include 10% retainage. Woodburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Counci I approve application for Payment No.2, authorizing payment of $21,006.54. Motion carried unanimouSly. -5-
