<br />." .' <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Counci I Meeting <br />Page five <br /> <br />April 26, 1976 <br /> <br />Council authorized Squires to put a notice in the newspaper and Town <br />Crier alerting property owners of the forthcoming survey and re- <br />questing their cooperation. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution re Lexington Avenue Improvement <br />Wingert reviewed proposed Resolution No. 76-25, prepared from policies <br />proposed by ad hoc committee, Planning Commission and Councl I. <br /> <br />Dick Volkmann, 1102 Carlton Drive, presented a Petition to Council <br />containing 142 signatures, supporting the proposed segmented concept <br />In Improving Lexington Avenue, respecting and responding to the adjacent <br />land use, and proposing the segment between County Road D and Harriet <br />Avenue be Improved structurally but not change to a four-lane corridor. <br /> <br />After discussion, and in-put from several Interested residents, Wingert <br />moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council adopt Resolution No. 76-25, <br />RESOLUTION MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS TO RAMSEY COUNTY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />OF LEX I NGTON A VENUE FROM COUNTY ROAD "D" NORTHWARD TO COUNTY ROAD trJ", <br />as amended. Motion carried (Wingert, Crichton, Woodburn, Crepeau voting <br />In favor of the motion; Feyerelsen abstaining.) <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Approval of UHF Radio Purchase <br />McNlesh referred Council to memo from Officer John Picha. <br /> <br />Atter discussion, Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council <br />authorize the expenditure of $2,170.00 for two U.H.F. radio pack sets <br />as outlined in memo (4/19/76), Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />Access Roadway to Johanna Boulevard <br />McNlesh referred Counci I to her memo of 4/23176 and comments from <br />affected property owners. <br /> <br />After discussion, Feyereisen moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council <br />authorize the changing of this roadw~y to "one-way" from east to west, <br />on a year's trial basis. Motion carried (Feyereisen, Wingert, Crepeau <br />and Woodburn voting In favor of the motion; Crichton voting In opposi- <br />tion) . <br /> <br />Pavro II <br />McNlesh requested approval of payment of checks No. 8599 through <br />No, 8609, to Junior MUSTang Basketball Coaches, totalling $732.38 (wi II <br />appear on May Disbursements). <br /> <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Council approve the April <br />Payrol I and payment of Checks No. 8599 through No. 8609.
