Crepeau, Jr. at <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present - Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Charles Crichton, <br />William Feyerelsen, James Wingert, Robert Woodburn. <br />Absent - None. <br />Also Present - Village Attorney James Lynden, Village Treasurer <br />Donald Lamb, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNlesh, <br />Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Crichton, that the Minutes of the Regular <br />Councl I Meeting of March 29, 1976, be approved as amended. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Roger Reiling - 3151 Lake Johanna Boulevard <br />Roger Reiling Informed Council of a car "clean-up" proposal he has <br />received for the two-stall garage at 3151 Lake Johanna Boulevard. <br /> <br />Council advised that this proposed use of the property will require <br />rezoning; property Is presently zoned R-2 residential; noted that <br />Comprehensive Development Plan Indicates possible commercial use <br />of this property, If the plans appear to comply with the basic frame- <br />work, development goals and standards of the Comprehensive Development <br />Plan. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY JAMES LYNDEN <br /> <br />Ordinance Adopting Uniform Fire Code <br />Lynden referred Council to his letter of 4-9-76 and attached draft <br />of Ordinance Adopting Uniform Fire Code. <br /> <br />After review of the provisions contained In the proposed ordinance <br />draft re fees, limits of districts, fire zones, Inspections, Fire Mar- <br />shal and Fire Chief Involvement, etc., Council concurred that Input <br />from the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department was required. <br /> <br />Feyerelsen moved, seconded by Wingert, that the matter be tabled <br />until Input re unresolved Items Is received by Attorney Lynden. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Metropolitan Land Use and Planning Act <br />Lynden referred Council to his letter of 4-12-76 re Metropolitan Land <br />Use and Planning Act. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />In discussion, It was noted that a Comprehensive Plan must be sub- <br />mitted to the Metro Councl I within three years from receipt of a <br />system statement from the Metropolitan Council which must be sent to <br />each community before July 1,1977: Implying that the Village Com- <br />prehensive Plan, and Zoning Ordinance Implementing the Plan, may be <br />amended and adopted prior to submission to the Metro Council of a <br />new Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Lynden noted that the Act establishes an advisory committee to Inves- <br />tigate and make recommendations on all matters necessary Including <br />standards and criteria for modest cost private housing; possibility <br />that this committee may recommend any, all or none of the "Nelson <br />amendments". <br /> <br />Councl I discussed the desirability of encouraging residential develop- <br />ment compatible with the Comprehensive Plan, and possible Incentives <br />and aids to developers to construct single-family detached houses, suc~ <br />as City construction of utilities and streets, streamlining de~efop- <br />ment procedures, modify subdivision requirements to permit rolled <br />curbs, etc. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
