Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OTHER BUS INESS <br /> <br />Fiscal Disparities <br />Counci I discussed McNlesh memo (3/24/76) re Fiscal Disparities Calcu- <br />lations of Ramsey County Department of Property Taxation, resulting In <br />a i976 mill rate of 8.30 for Arden HI lis. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />McNiesh reported that the "net loss" in assessed valuation, due to <br />fiscal disparities law, was over $1,000,000; mill rate would have <br />been 8 ml lis if there were no fiscal disparity law. Council requested <br />McNlesh to obtain ~sample calculation" for taxes on commercial-indus- <br />trial property. <br /> <br />Ramsey County League of Local Governments - Appointment of Delegates <br />Counci i concurred w~th Mayor Crepeau's appointment of Councilman <br />James Wingert as Arden Hills' Delegate to the Ramsey County League of <br />Local Governments, and Counci Imen Charles Crichton, Robert Woodburn, <br />WillI am Feyereisen and Mayor Henry J. Crepeau, Jr. as AI ternates. <br /> <br />Lease of Unmarked Car <br />Crepeau referred Councl I to memo re lease of unmarked pOlice car; <br />current cost - $i29.50/month; new car wi II cost $157.00/month (Whitaker <br />Bu i ck) . <br /> <br />Councl I requested that additional lease quotations be obtained, and <br />referred matter to Public Safety Committee for recommendations to <br />Counci I re leasing vs. purchase. <br /> <br />OJT Student and Seasonal Summer Employee <br />WOOdburn moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council authorize the hiring <br />of Carl Karth under the OJT Program @ $2.50/hour, and Steve Zehm @ <br />$4.00/hour, as outlined In Johansen's memo of I~arch 26,1976. Wingert agreed to relay <br />Council's concerns at the meeting. Feyeraisen will try to attend at <br />least a portion of the meeting. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
