If the City Is Interested in being funded for certain <br />federal programs, development of a written Affirmative Action Program <br />appears to be a prime condition precedent to receiving funds. <br /> <br />Pemtom, Townhouse Villages North, Second Addition <br />Lynden referred Council to his letter of 2/19/76 re Mechanics Lien <br />Claims vs. Pemtom, Inc. and Individual Owners. <br /> <br />After discussion, Feyereisen moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council <br />authorize Attorney Lynden to file a letter, on behalf of the City <br />of Arden Hills, with the Surety company, as suggested by Lynden, to <br />help "clear up" matter as soon as possible. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br /> <br />(Lynden noted that Individual purchasers are indemnified.) <br /> <br />Codification of Ordinances <br />Lynden referred Council to his letter of 2/20/76 and letter from <br />Municipal Code Corporation (2/20/76), apprising Council of the March <br />I and 2 conferences at the Village Hail with Mr. Ronald McLaughlin, <br />editor-In-charge of the Arden Hills codification project. <br /> <br />After discussion, Wingert moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Council <br />authorize the purchase of a copy of the League of Minnesota Munici- <br />palities Model Code of Ordinances. Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />License Agreement re C. G. Rein and I. C. Systems <br />Lynden reported he wi II meet with Attorney for I. C. Systems re <br />License Agreement amendments he proposes. <br /> <br />N.S.P. Rights of Way <br />Lynden agreed to check with N.P re possibility of Vi Ilage use of <br />certain N.S.P. riqhts of way for portions of the Vii lage pathway <br />system (west from Cummings Park and under easement north of Floral <br />Park) . <br /> <br />REPORT OF VI LLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRI STOFFERSEN <br /> <br />Feasibility Report - Hamline Avenue and County Road F <br />Christoffersen referred Council to his letters of 3/12/76 and <br />Specifications re County Road F and Hamline Avenue Improvements. <br /> <br />In discussion, several questions were posed to Christoffersen by <br />Council re proposed drainage changes, projected traffic volumes, <br />curb and gutter vs. rural type road, State participation if curb <br />and gutter and/or storm sewer are eliminated, etc. Discussion <br />was continued to Council meeting of March 8th; Christoffersen to <br />arrange for M.S.A. representation at meeting. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Request for Approval of Widening Lexinqton Avenue <br />at Soo Line Crossinq <br />Christoffersen referred Council to letter and attached Resolution <br />from Assistant County Engineer Floyd Snyker, requesting Counci I <br />adoption of a resolution approving the plans. <br /> <br />Christoffersen read the Resolution as he recommends amending it <br />for Council adoption. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
