<br />Minutes of Regular Councl I Meeting <br />Page five <br /> <br />February 23, 1976 <br /> <br />Conference for Clerks and Finance Officers <br />Feyereisen moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council authorize <br />the attendance of Charlotte McNlesh at the Conference for Clerks <br />and Finance Officers, as per her memo. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Hal I Rental - Rice Creek Watershed District <br />Feyereisen moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council approve the <br />same rental charge as last year ($200/year) for Rice Creek Water- <br />shed District. MotiDn carried (Feyereisen, Wingert, Crichton, Crepeau <br />voting in favor of the motion; Woodburn voting in opposition). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Aerl a I Photo <br />McNiesh referred Councl I to memo re cost of aerial photo of Arden <br />Hills, purchased from Metro Council. <br /> <br />After discussion, Council authorized the purchase of an aerial photo <br />(I" = 800') at a cost of $35.00. <br /> <br />Town Crier <br />Councl I concurred that Town Crier should encourage "feed-back" from <br />residents and that residents should be apprised of cost of publica- <br />tion. <br /> <br />Payroll <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Counci I approve the <br />Payroll as presented. Motion carried unanimouSly. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Finance Committee Appointments <br />Feyereisen reported that Mary Swenson and Paul Larson attended the <br />Finance Committee Meeting and he recommends their appointment to <br />the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Mayor Crepeau appointed Mary Swenson and Paul Larson as members of <br />the Finance Committee for the remainder of 1976. <br /> <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Council ratify the <br />appointments. Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau <br />Feyerelsen reported that he and Wingert attended the February 19th <br />planning meeting; funding for the Northwest Bureau wil I not be <br />known until the end of March. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After discussion, Crichton moved that Council authorize McNiesh <br />to send letter to the Governor's Crime Commission advising that. <br />the Arden Hi lis Councl I recognizes the need for some activity in <br />this area and that Arden Hil Is will continue to work with the <br />persons involved In organizing the program. Motion carried (Crichton, <br />Feyereisen, Wingert, Crepeau voting in favor of the motion; Woodburn <br />voting in opposition). <br /> <br />(Woodburn noted that Town Crier will be giving the program publlcltv <br />and opposes sending letter until feed-back Is received re citizen <br />reaction to the program.) <br /> <br />City of Bloomington Request Re Stadium Resolution <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council adopt Resolution <br />No. 76-16, requesting the State Legislature to put any stadium pro- <br />posal to a vote of the people. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City of Apple Valley Request Re Local Government Aid Resolution <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council adopt Resolution <br />No. 76-17, RESOLUTION SUPPORTING HF 2143 (CHANGE IN LOCAL GOVER~- <br />ME NT AiD FORMULA). Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Squad Car Leasin~ Report <br />Council referred to memo from Police Chief Sexton (2/20/76) re Infor- <br />mation for Consideration in the Replacement of Existing Squad Cars <br />Now in Use, With Three Alternate Plans. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
