Minutes of Regular Councl I Meeting Page five February 23, 1976 Conference for Clerks and Finance Officers Feyereisen moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council authorize the attendance of Charlotte McNlesh at the Conference for Clerks and Finance Officers, as per her memo. Motion carried unanimously. Hal I Rental - Rice Creek Watershed District Feyereisen moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council approve the same rental charge as last year ($200/year) for Rice Creek Water- shed District. MotiDn carried (Feyereisen, Wingert, Crichton, Crepeau voting in favor of the motion; Woodburn voting in opposition). . Aerl a I Photo McNiesh referred Councl I to memo re cost of aerial photo of Arden Hills, purchased from Metro Council. After discussion, Council authorized the purchase of an aerial photo (I" = 800') at a cost of $35.00. Town Crier Councl I concurred that Town Crier should encourage "feed-back" from residents and that residents should be apprised of cost of publica- tion. Payroll Crichton moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Counci I approve the Payroll as presented. Motion carried unanimouSly. OTHER BUSINESS Finance Committee Appointments Feyereisen reported that Mary Swenson and Paul Larson attended the Finance Committee Meeting and he recommends their appointment to the Finance Committee. Mayor Crepeau appointed Mary Swenson and Paul Larson as members of the Finance Committee for the remainder of 1976. Woodburn moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Council ratify the appointments. Motion carried unanimOUSly. Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau Feyerelsen reported that he and Wingert attended the February 19th planning meeting; funding for the Northwest Bureau wil I not be known until the end of March. . After discussion, Crichton moved that Council authorize McNiesh to send letter to the Governor's Crime Commission advising that. the Arden Hi lis Councl I recognizes the need for some activity in this area and that Arden Hil Is will continue to work with the persons involved In organizing the program. Motion carried (Crichton, Feyereisen, Wingert, Crepeau voting in favor of the motion; Woodburn voting in opposition). (Woodburn noted that Town Crier will be giving the program publlcltv and opposes sending letter until feed-back Is received re citizen reaction to the program.) City of Bloomington Request Re Stadium Resolution Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council adopt Resolution No. 76-16, requesting the State Legislature to put any stadium pro- posal to a vote of the people. Motion carried unanimously. City of Apple Valley Request Re Local Government Aid Resolution Woodburn moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council adopt Resolution No. 76-17, RESOLUTION SUPPORTING HF 2143 (CHANGE IN LOCAL GOVER~- ME NT AiD FORMULA). Motion carried unanimously. Squad Car Leasin~ Report Council referred to memo from Police Chief Sexton (2/20/76) re Infor- mation for Consideration in the Replacement of Existing Squad Cars Now in Use, With Three Alternate Plans. . -5-
