The Applicant references the Subject Property’s unusual orientation and access as reasons for <br />the variance request, stating that the current driveway location has presented repeated safety <br />hazards and significant winter maintenance burdens. <br /> <br />In their narrative, the Applicant writes that the relocation and reorientation of the building footprint <br />and driveway to the quieter side road aligns with the neighborhood’s layout and enhances overall <br />safety and visual consistency for the Subject Property and County Road E. <br /> <br />The new home location would require a variance to allow a front yard setback of 31.9 feet versus <br />40 feet as required by city code.
