The ability to search will be <br />initially limited within RCSO to top command leadership for the protection of data. <br />Accessing the system is audited and there will be a log retained <br />• Viewing window of LPR cameras is about 75 feet so there are factors like tree coverage, <br />width of roadway, etc. that were considered in the selection of locations by RCSO <br /> <br />With the Flock system there is an installation cost for each camera. The RCSO has stated they <br />intend to pay for the cost of installation. Then there is an annual lease cost per camera of $3,000 <br />(2025 rate) which would be paid for by the contract cities. Flock contract/lease rates would be <br />prorated for this year. They are looking at a ½ year implementation in 2025 of $28,500 for 19 <br />cameras ($57,000 – 2025 full year). For Arden Hills, the RCSO has identified three (3) camera <br />locations (approx. 16% of the total number of cameras). Those locations would be Highway <br />96/Round Lake Road, Highway 96/Lexington Avenue, and Lexington Avenue/Grey Fox Road. <br />Our prorated cost share for 2025 would be $4,183.80 or a cost share allocation of 15.79%. <br /> <br />Budget Impact <br /> <br />For 2025, the City would need to approve a budget amendment for our prorated cost share of <br />$4,183.80, which would be brought back to the Council at a future meeting.
