City of Arden Hills <br />Project B2502087 <br />June 13, 2025 <br />Page 4 <br />▪Performing 19 standard penetration test (SPT) borings, denoted as ST-1 to ST-19, to nominal <br />depths of 10 feet below existing grade. <br />▪Performing 4 hand auger borings (HABs) through trail areas, denoted as T-1 to T-4, to <br />nominal depths of 2 to 4 feet below existing grade. <br />▪Performing laboratory testing on select samples to aid in soil classification and engineering <br />analysis. <br />▪Preparing this report containing a boring location sketch, logs of soil borings, a summary of <br />the soils encountered, results of laboratory tests, and recommendations for structure and <br />pavement subgrade preparation and the design of foundations, floor slabs, exterior slabs, <br />utilities, stormwater improvements and pavements. <br />We performed this geotechnical evaluation concurrently with Sediment (Dredge) Sampling, which we <br />submitted separately. The project team should review the Sediment Sampling report for work specific to <br />Karth Lake. <br />B.Results <br />B.1. Geologic Overview <br />The general geologic profile of the project area represented in Figure 2 below generally consists of <br />Moderate- and high-relief glacial till deposits, such as silty sands, and clays forming hummocky, irregular <br />topography (map unit’s ‘Qnh’ and ‘Qnm’).
