<br />Minutes of Reqular Counci I Meeting <br />Pa ga two <br /> <br />January 26, 1976 <br /> <br />Buckley advised that Bethel Col lege is conducting a <br />control testing program in conjunction with the Vniv. <br />of Minnesota - girdling trees with oak wilt; not re- <br />quired to be removed. <br /> <br />Whitesel I advised he is purchasing a new truck; should be <br />able to handle tree removal work for next year, within the <br />contract period. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />B. Advertisement for Bids - 1976 <br />After review of proposed Specifications, Crichton moved, <br />seconded by Woodburn, thet the Council approve the <br />Specifications and authorize advertisement for bids; <br />bids to be opened at 2:00 p,m. on March I, 1976 at the <br />V i I I age Ha II . <br /> <br />In discussion of how to define "tight working conditions" <br />and to control charges for same, Specifications were <br />amended (page 21, item 23) to provide for City review <br />and approval of al I extra charges for "tight working <br />conditions", before charges are paid. <br /> <br />Crichton (mover) and Woodburn (seconder) agreed to amend <br />motion to approve Specifications, as hereby amended, <br />Amended motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Buckley was requested to revie\~ all 1975 charges for <br />"tight working conditions" prior to payment thereof.l <br /> <br />.1966 GMC Tank Truck <br />Buckley referred Counci 1 to his memo o'r 1-23-76 re return of GMC <br />Tank Truck. After discussion, Council authorized Johansen and <br />McNiesh to advertise truck for sale~ <br /> <br />Student Intern <br />Buckley referred Counci I to his memo o~ 1/23/76 and attached letter <br />from ~1egan Gange re her terminal landsc:ape design project (U, of M.l, <br />expressing her interest in working on one of Arden HI lis' park plans. <br /> <br />After review of the status of the various park areas, Buckley was <br />requested to contact Ms. Gange to determine whether her project <br />would be a "conceptual" or "more forma!" plan. It was generally <br />agreed that an "Improvement Plan"of Floral Park would be Council's <br />first choice; second choice being "conceptual plans" for the Cum- <br />m i n g spa r k a re a . <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN <br /> <br />Hunters Park Additions 1-4, Request for Vi I lage Acceptance of <br />Uti litles and Streets <br />Christoffersen referred Counci I to his letter of 1-15-76 and letter <br />from Bather-Ringrose 112-18-75) and rec:ommended Counci I acceptance <br />of the underground uti lities at this time; delaying acceptance of <br />roads unti 1 inspection can be completed in the spring. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Johansen noted that the Public Works Department has also inspected <br />and approve the underground uti I ities in Hunters Park. <br /> <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that Councl I accept the <br />Hunters Park unde~ground utilIty improvements subject to receipt <br />of Guarantee bond.
