Absen t - Councilman James Wingert <br /> Also Present - Vi 11 age Attorney James Lynden, Engineer Donald <br /> Chris toffersen, Treasurer Donald Lamb, C Ie rk <br /> Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, Deputy Clerk <br /> Dorothy Zehm. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister, that the Minutes of the <br /> Regular Council Meeting of December 14 th be approved as corrected. <br /> Motion carried un animous ly (3-0) . <br /> Bus ines s from the Floor <br /> None <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY JAMES LYNDEN <br /> Release of Easement for Coun ty Road E Frontage Road - <br /> DeCoster/Americen 011 Co. <br /> Council was referred to Lynden's letter of 12-28-81 and attached <br /> Resolution Releasing and Extinguishing Roadway and Utility Ease- <br /> ment and Quit Claim Deed. <br /> In discussion, it was noted that the Ci ty has never utilized its <br /> easement righ ts unde r the easement, and does not anticipate its <br /> future use for road or utility purposes. <br /> McAllister moved, seconded by HOllenhorst, that Council adopt <br /> Resolution No. 81-92, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF COUNTY <br /> ROAD E ROADWAY AND UTILITY EASEMENT. Motion carried unanimously <br /> (3-0) . <br /> Resolution No. 81- 89 , Vacating Certain Drainage Easements in <br /> Land O'Lakes Addition <br /> Council was referred to Lynden's Ie t te r 0 f October 28th. and attached <br /> draft of Resolution Vacating Certain Drainage Easements in Land <br /> O'Lakes addi tion. <br /> Hol1enhorst moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council adopt <br /> Resolution No. 8 1- 89 , A RESOLUTION VACATING CERTAIN DRAIN AGE EASE- <br /> MENTS IN LAND O'LAKES ADDITION. Mo ti on carried unanimously (3 -0) . <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB <br />. Investments <br /> 12-21-81 - $256,645.56 @ 12~% interest at Twin City Federal, <br /> maturing 2-19-82. <br /> 12-24-81 - $200,000.00 @ 13. 10% interest at Twin City Federal, <br /> maturing 4-15-82. <br /> 12-24-81 - $170,000.00 @ 13.40% interest at Twin City Federal, <br />.. .. maturing 5-14-82 <br /> McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council ratify <br /> the Treasurer's report. Motion carried unanimous ly (3-0) . <br /> Council concurred wi th recommendation of Lamb and McNiesh th at <br /> Midwest Federal S & L be adde d as a depository for City funds in <br /> 1982. <br /> . - <br />
