Request to Purchase Snow Broom Attachment for Toro Council was referred to Buckley's memo of 12-4-81. After discussion, Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister that Council table the request until the State Aids for 1982 are known. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) . Approval of Winter ProRram Rink Attendants and Instructors . Council was referred to Buckley's memo of 12-10-81 re 1982 Winter Program Personnel. Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister, that Coun ci I approve the hiring of the winter program personnel as listed in Buckley's memo. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH Permit for Soo Line CrossinI': - Assessment Policy re Spur Line R:I,ght-of-Way. Johnson moved, seconded by Ho llenhors t that Coun ci 1 authorize McNiesh to advise Soo Line that it is not Council's intent to assess theSoo Line right-of-way spur for the storm drainage pro- ject. Motion carried unanimously. Eme rRency Sick Leave - Public Works Employee Council was referred to McNiesh's memo relative to emergency sick Ie ave for Gene Waldoch. After discussion, McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson that Council grant emergency sick leave to Gene Waldoch until January 6 , 1982, when loss of time benefit will begin; emergency sick leave as gran ted is to be charged against employee's later accumu- lation of sick leave. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) . (Council granted the emergency sick leave on the basis of the follow- ing hardship reasons: -employee has had several serious diseases using accumulated sick leave and comp time -employee is hard working and conscientious with previous foreman responsibilities. -employee has a wife and th ree small children). Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce - 1981/1982 Fee I twas explained that Arden Hills paid $90 in 1981 to the Subur- ban Area Chamber of Commerce for se rvices rendered not a member- ship fee; has budgeted $100 reimbursement for services in 1982. McNiesh advised that the 1982 membership investment is $130.00 Concern was expressed relstive to municipality membership being . considered a conflict of interest. McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council not finan- cially support the Suburban ChamlJer of Commerce in 1982 on the b as is that such support is not cons i de re d to be a Vi llage function. Motion carried (4-0) . (Council noted that it has no disagreement with the Chamber of Commerce activities.) Claims and Payroll Council was referred to the Claims and Payroll, and an additional list of claims for basketball referees. McNiesh noted that it has been determined to not buy the service contract for the sensor; che ck will be voided. -[l-
