Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH <br /> Permit for Soo Line CrossinI': - Assessment Policy re Spur Line <br /> R:I,ght-of-Way. <br /> Johnson moved, seconded by Ho llenhors t that Coun ci 1 authorize <br /> McNiesh to advise Soo Line that it is not Council's intent to <br /> assess theSoo Line right-of-way spur for the storm drainage pro- <br /> ject. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Eme rRency Sick Leave - Public Works Employee <br /> Council was referred to McNiesh's memo relative to emergency sick <br /> Ie ave for Gene Waldoch. <br /> After discussion, McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson that <br /> Council grant emergency sick leave to Gene Waldoch until January <br /> 6 , 1982, when loss of time benefit will begin; emergency sick <br /> leave as gran ted is to be charged against employee's later accumu- <br /> lation of sick leave. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) . <br /> (Council granted the emergency sick leave on the basis of the follow- <br /> ing hardship reasons: <br /> -employee has had several serious diseases using accumulated <br /> sick leave and comp time <br /> -employee is hard working and conscientious with previous <br /> foreman responsibilities. <br /> -employee has a wife and th ree small children). <br /> Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce - 1981/1982 Fee <br /> I twas explained that Arden Hills paid $90 in 1981 to the Subur- <br /> ban Area Chamber of Commerce for se rvices rendered not a member- <br /> ship fee; has budgeted $100 reimbursement for services in 1982. <br /> McNiesh advised that the 1982 membership investment is $130.00 <br /> Concern was expressed relstive to municipality membership being . <br /> considered a conflict of interest. <br /> McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Council not finan- <br /> cially support the Suburban ChamlJer of Commerce in 1982 on the <br /> b as is that such support is not cons i de re d to be a Vi llage function. <br /> Motion carried (4-0) . <br /> (Council noted that it has no disagreement with the Chamber of <br /> Commerce activities.) <br /> Claims and Payroll <br /> Council was referred to the Claims and Payroll, and an additional <br /> list of claims for basketball referees. McNiesh noted that it has <br /> been determined to not buy the service contract for the sensor; <br /> che ck will be voided. <br /> -[l- <br />
