<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Specisl Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, June 22, 1981 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called <br />the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present <br /> <br />- Msyor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen James Wingert, <br />Diane McAllister, Maurice Johnson <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />- Councilman J.uet Hollenhorst <br /> <br />Also Present - Engineer Donald Christoffersen, Clerk Admini- <br />strator Charlotte HcNiesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Wingert moved, seconded by Johnson, that <br />Minutes of the Regular June 8th Council <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council spprove the <br />Meeting, as amended, Motion <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None <br /> <br />REPORT OF DEPUTY TREASURER DIANE McALLISTER <br /> <br />Investment <br />June 15, 1981 - $240,000 at First Benk Saint Paul <br />for 90 days @ 15.8% interest. <br /> <br />;' <br /> <br />Johnson moved to rstify the Deputy Treasurer's investment. <br />Motion was seconded by Wingert and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee Reco.mendations <br />Council was referred to the Minutes of the June 15th Public Safety <br />Co..ittee Meeting. <br /> <br />Dead End Sign - Karth Lake Circle <br />Johnson moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council <br />authori&e the installation of a "dead end" sign <br />on the south side of Karth Lake Circle at Hamline <br />Avenue. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Civil Defense Sirens <br />Johnson reported that telephone calls were made to <br />obt,ain resident response to the sirens during the <br />recent tornado warning; noted that: <br /> <br />- three residents in the Chatham area reported <br />"no audible siran" from within the home - <br />could hear them outdoors. <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />- residents in Josephine and Shorewood Hills <br />areas reported audible sirens from within <br />their homes. <br /> <br />- a Nursery Hill Lane resident said sirens <br />could not be heard within the home. <br /> <br />- Emerald Inn reported airens were audible <br />inside the building. <br /> <br />- Townhouse_ Villages North reporte~ sirens~w~re .I /J~ <br />audible' ~?l4~-tU-U({)~L-' ~U-ft-. ~d ~1'--<-i4t<l"UC <br />K-U~f ,1r;,U~<'-t0 7('u ~~" " ) <br />Presbyte~ian Homes - sirens audible; <br />
