<br />Call to Order
<br />Purauant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the
<br />meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />Roll Call
<br />Preaent - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Janet Hollenhorst,
<br />Diane McAllister, Maurice Johnson
<br />
<br />Absent - None
<br />
<br />Also Present - Attorney James Lynden, Bond Counsel Peter Popovich,
<br />Engineer Donald Christoffersen, Treasurer Donald
<br />Lamb, Planner Orlyn Miller, Clerk Administrator

<br />Oath of Office - Mayor Robert Woodburn
<br />Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh administered the osth of
<br />office of Mayor of Arden Hills to Robert L, Woodburn.

<br />Approval of Minutes
<br />Johnson moved, seconded by Hollenhorst,
<br />Council Meeting be approved as amended,
<br />
<br />that the Minutes of May 11th
<br />Motion carried unanimously,

<br />Resolution No, 81-34, Appointment to Fill Vacancy aa Councilman
<br />Mayor asked for names to ~. placed in nomination for the office
<br />of Councilman and nominated James Wingert,
<br />
<br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council approve the
<br />appointment of James Wingert and approve Resolution No, 81-34,
<br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNCILMAN TO FILL UNEXPIRED TERM. Motion
<br />carried unanimously,

<br />(Term expires December 31, 1982)
<br />
<br />Improvement No. ST 81-2, Lexington/694 Storm Drainage
<br />
<br />Shoreview/Arden Hills Joint Powers Agreement
<br />Lynden referred Council to his letter of
<br />5-22-81 re 1) Cost Sharing Joint Powers Agree-
<br />ment and 2) Timetable, and sttachments thereto.
<br />
<br />After diSCUSSion, Council concurred that the Joint
<br />Powers Agreement, as amended, be executed by the Mayor
<br />and Clerk Administrator and forwarded to Shoreview for
<br />execution.
<br />
<br />Revised Time Schedule for Ordering Plsns, Advertising
<br />and Awarding Bids
<br />Council was referred to Christoffersen's letter of May 21,
<br />1981 re Lexington and 694 drainage, and attached schedules,
<br />with and without assessment hearings,
<br />
<br />In discussion, Christoffersen noted that there is the
<br />possibility that, if the bids come in substantially less
<br />than estimated, it may affect whether sn assessment hear-
<br />ing, based on bids received, would be held by Shoreview,
<br />Christoffereen reported that he understands that Ramsey
<br />County has its plans about 75% complete; noted that the
<br />County would like to see Arden Hills/Shoreview advertise
<br />for bids before completlng their Lexington Ave. plans.
<br />Christoffersen said that he does not anticipate any' ,

<br />spring. Christoffersen said it is h1,-un(jersta~!~tnat
<br />there will be no trouble carrying over the funding
<br />commitment to next year.
