<br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Minutes of Regulsr Council Meeting <br /> <br />April 27, 1981 <br /> <br />McAllister reported that the May 12 Parks Committee Meeting will <br />start at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, at which time the Com- <br />mittee will tour the Village parks; Council, and other interested <br />persons were invited to join the tour. <br /> <br />In discussion of city policy relative to hiring of part-time per- <br />sonnel for summer programs and maintenance; it was recommended <br />that Village residents be hired whenever possible; it was suggested <br />that a notice informing residents of job openings, be-publiahed. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 81-29 <br />Council waa referred to McNiesh's memo relative to Governor Quie'. <br />Eight Percent Levy Limit Proposal. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After discussion, Hollenhorst moved, seconded by McAllister that <br />Council adopt Resolution No. 81-29, Resolution Oppoaing Governor <br />Quie's Eight Percent Levy Limit Proposal. Motion carried unan- <br />imously. <br /> <br />(Certified copy to be sent to Governor Quie, Senators Ashbach and <br />Mae, Representatives Novak and Sieben. <br /> <br />In discussion of City policy, relative to purchases of $5,000 and <br />over, it was Council's understanding that specific quotes be ob- <br />tained for Council's consideration, even though the item was bud- <br />geted. In further discussions relative to the budget, Council con- <br />curred that it is essential that time spent on specific jobs be <br />accurately recorded to proper department and job category. <br /> <br />Adjournment McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that the meet- <br />ing adjourn at 11:40 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />/'", - <br />Cd ~ "',' (/" x-:). <br />~(l(14 X If;!/.)
