<br />.' <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />March 9, 1981 <br /> <br />Arp explained that Arp's Tree Service is the low bidder calculated <br />one way; if calculated another way, another bidder is low. <br /> <br />Confirmation of low bidder was deferred to Council Meeting of <br />3-23-81. (Copy of Instructions to Bidders to be sent to Council <br />members prior to that date). <br /> <br />Approval of Instructors and Referees - Men's Volleyball and Jr. <br />Mustang Basketball Programs <br />Council was referred to Buckley's memo of 2-27-81. <br /> <br />After discussion, Johnson moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that <br />Council approve hiring the instructors and referees as listed at <br />$4.25/hour. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Council requested more detail in future memos). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayors Meeting - Cities Contracting with Ramsey County for <br />Police Services <br />Crichton reported that each of the 8 contracting cities are to be <br />queried as to whether a more formal arrangement is desired; noted <br />that he is not proposing that Arden Hills agree to this at this <br />p oin t. <br /> <br />Giere Addition - Park Dedication <br />Council was referred to copies of past park dedication negotiations <br />re Giere Addition (3 lot subdivision - .98 acres). <br /> <br />After discussion, Johnson moved to approve re-evaluation of the <br />park dedication for Giere Addition, authorizing McAllister to <br />proceed with a compromise offer at $1,251.00 as satisfaction of <br />the park dedication for the .98 acre Giere Addition 3 lot sub- <br />division; $626 payable at sale of first lot and $625 at sale of <br />second lot; total to be paid by 12-31-83. Motion was seconded by <br />Hollenhorst and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NEISH <br /> <br />License Approval <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council approve a <br />Retail Sales license for All Star Video, 3121 Lake Johanna Blvd., <br />and Mechanical Music Devices Licenses for Bethel College as listed. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Statement of Cash Receipts, Expenditures, Balances and Transfers - <br />December 31, 1980 <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council accept the <br />Statement and approve the transfers as submitted. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />McNiesh requested approval of check #1085 in the amount of $163.38 <br />to Metro Waste in addition to claims listed. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Johnson that Council approve the <br />Claims and Payroll as submitted, including check 01085 to Metro <br />Waste. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Letter of 3-5-81 from County Engineer re Sale of lot on Lexington <br />and County Road D. <br />Council was referred to letter from County Engineer. After dis- <br />cussion, Johnson moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, that i~suance of <br />the Building Permit (Case No. 80-24) be subject to allowinl!: County <br />to grade the front yard to improve the line of sight as per variance <br />approval. Motion carried unanimously <br /> <br />Inquiry from Ramsey County Office of Elections re H.F. 09 - <br />Presidential Primary in Minnesota to be held in April. <br /> <br />4 <br />
