<br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />February 23, 1981 <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />Temporary Real Estate Sign - Briarknoll <br />After discuasion, in which Council concurred that a variance would <br />be necessary for the existing temporary sign (48 sq. ft.), <br />Hollenhorst moved seconded by McAllister, that Council extend the <br />temporary permit until April 30, 1981, with the anderstanding that <br />the applicant will apply for a variance for the temporary real <br />estate sign, or reduce the size of the sign to meet the 32 sq. ft. <br />maximum area established by Ord. No. 216. Motion carriea unanimously. <br /> <br />March Council Meetings <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council schedule three <br />meetings in March: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />March 9th (Regular) <br />March 23rd (Special) <br />March 30th (Regular) <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Payroll <br />Johnson moved, seconded <br />approved as submitted. <br /> <br />by Hollenhorst, that the Payroll be <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Status Report - Mpls. Hide and Tallow Pollution Control Equipment <br />McNiesh reported that Dave Fridgen, New Brighton Sanitarian, has <br />advised that the rendering plant equipment installation is on <br />schedule; will apparently meet the PCA deadline of May 15th; thinks <br />it will pass the standards. <br /> <br />City of Little Canada - Letter of 1-27-81 <br />Council was referred to letter from Little Canada re Suggested <br />Methods for Evaluating the Cost-Effectiveness of Police Patrol <br />Services Contract. <br /> <br />McNiesh reported that Falcon Heights did not pass on it; Shoreview <br />approved, subject to approval of the other cities, and availability <br />of additional funding. <br /> <br />Council tabled action to the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Crepeau Park Signs <br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memo of 2-20-81 - Donation - <br />Council concurred that sign(s) for Crepeau Park would be a good <br />use of the "Crepeau Appreciation Dinner" fund balance of $96.23. <br /> <br />Council referred the matter to Buc~ey to make arrangements for the <br />signs. It was suggested that three signs would be appropriate at <br />the following locations: Pine Tree Drive and Harriet Ave. <br />Dellwood Avenue at park <br />Benton Way at park <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Rice Creek Watershed District - Meeting of 10-10-80 <br />Concern was expressed rs some apparent inconsistencies displayed <br />by RCWD; also of concern was the Board's ~isappointment" (Project <br />Review 80R22) which reaulted in the shooting of untreated water <br />from a subdiviaion directly into Lake Josephine. <br /> <br />Council concurred that Mayor Crichton invite Board Member Diane <br />Harstad to attend an Arden Hills Council meeting (March 23rd if <br />poasible). <br /> <br />Commissioner Orth's Proposed Legislation Status Report and RCWD/ <br />Municipality Meeting Schedula <br />McNieah was requested to write to Commissioner Robert Orth ex- <br />plaining that the Arden Hills Council desires to settle its <br />calendar over the next months and would appreciate his munici- <br />pality meeting schedule with RCWD; also to express Council's <br />interest in the status of his proposed legislation. <br /> <br />5 <br />
