Motion carried unanimously. <br /> (Bid open ing was scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on November 10 th. <br /> Christoffersen reported that he has reques ted Hr. Kenna to pro- <br /> vide a 20 I wide utility easement on lots 1 and 2 (10 I on each <br /> side of COOllDon lot 11ne) and a 10 . wide utility easement, ab ou t <br /> 30 · in length, on west corn e r of lot 1 , prior to sale of lots. <br /> Pine Tree Dri ve and Harriet Avenue <br /> Some eonce rn ",as expressed relative to the s t re e t grade at the <br /> Pine Tree Drive/Harriet Ave. intersection; appea rs road sIan ts <br /> . downward to wes t curb, causing some problems for motorists in <br /> rounding the curve. <br /> Christoffersen explained that this may have been done to f ac il- <br /> itate drainage; streets are not b anke d for speed. It was s ug- <br /> ge s te d that reflectorized signs at this curve may he Ip to resolve <br /> the problem. <br /> REPORT OF VILLAGE PLANNER ORLYN MILLER <br /> Case No. 80 - 35 , Building Pe r mi t - Eugene Coles tock <br /> Gene Coiestock referred Council to amended plan of e as t eleva- <br /> tion of the existing and proposed buildings, aligned and joined <br /> by a 200' .::t connecting passage. Architect Gene Brandstrom ex- <br /> plained that they intend to line up the two buildings and face <br /> both wi th horizontal and vertical b ri ck panels. Colestock said <br /> they are requesting a Build ing Permit fo r the new building,bridge <br /> connection as s.hown and re-face of the existing building. Note d <br /> tha t, in order to face the exis ting building, they will have to <br /> excavate snd build a shelf to support the brick veneer. <br /> Af te r review of the si te plan and discussion relative to parking, <br /> landscaping, sign age and exterior lighting requirements, i twas <br /> moved by Crichton, seconded by Woodburn, that Council authorize <br /> the Building Inspector to issue a Building P e rmi t for the ware- <br /> . house/manufacturing building, re-face of the pxisting building <br /> to the south and b rid ge connection, as per plan s sub mi t te d da ted <br /> approved 10/27/80, wi th a 20 ' ",ide landscaped area in f ron t of <br /> the new building; parking in front to be parallel instead of per- <br /> pendicular; app roval includes 5 ' parking variance on the south <br /> side of the site of the new building. Moti01l carried unanimous ly. <br /> It was the unde rs tanding of Council and Colestock tha t landscape, <br /> exterior lighting and signage plan approval by Planner must be <br /> obtained, and park dedication satisfactorily resolved, prior to <br /> occupancy of the new building. It was also note d that the trash <br /> removal area is not designated on the plan; this are a is required <br /> to be enclosed within the buildi1lg or screened from view. <br /> Bids for Grading Hazelnut Park <br /> Council was referred to bid tabulation of six bids received for <br /> the grading of Hazelnut Park. Mille r recommended accept ance of <br /> . the low bid. <br /> Hanson moved, seconded by Woodburn, that Council award the bid <br /> to C.W. Houle, Inc. in the ame un t of $14,500.00. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> (Miller reported that the contract documentation will be pre- <br /> pared and for",arded to Attorney Lynden.) <br /> 2 <br />
