Variance for Gar'a~e - 3131 North lexln~ton Avenue <br />Council was referred to report from County Engineer Weltzln, advising that the <br />house reraoval and site grading at County Road D and lex/ngton Avenue will be <br />completed prior to September 8th. <br /> <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Hanson, tilat Counci I derer 1'i1e matteruoti I tllS <br />. September 8th Council meeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FInance Committee Resi~natlon <br />Crichton reported the resignation of Gary Wefe! from the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Upon recommendation by Crichton, Mayor Crepeau appointed Frank Mlavka as a member <br />of the FInance COmmittee for the balance of 1980. <br /> <br />Crlch70n moved, seconded by Hanson, that Council a?prove the Mayor's appointment <br />to the Finance COmmittee. Motion carrf~d unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF V J lLAGE TREASURER DOI~f,lD lAMB <br /> <br />.~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~nvestment <br />Augusi- 25, 1980 - $175,000 at First Bank of St. Paul for 6 months @ 9.90'; interest, <br />maturing Febn!ary 23, 1981 < <br /> <br />Cr.f chton moved. seconded by Hans;Qn, that Counc I I rat I fy the Treasurer's report.. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF V J lLAGE CLEHK ADMINI STRATOR CHARLOTTE MeN I ESH <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Conditions of Salie of Gara',e at 3242 New BrlQhton Road <br />McNiesh reported that Fire Chief Koch has been notified of the City's offer to <br />sell the garage at 3242 New Brighton Road to lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Depart- <br />ment at a cost of $19,000; also has advised that a Special Use Permit will be <br />necessary for "public use" of tt.e property. <br /> <br />MeNlesh reported that Chief Koch will take the City's offer to their Board of <br />Directors and msmbel"ship; asked If the CIty would consider a Contract for Deed <br />for 3 to 5 years. <br />
