<br /> . CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, May= Sather
<br /> called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m,
<br /> roLL CALL '!he roll being called the following members were present:
<br /> Mayor '!homas Sather, eouncilmembers Paul Malone, JoAnn
<br /> Growe, Thomas Mahowald and Dale Hicks, Also present: Attorney John Miller,
<br /> Engineer Terry Maurer, Planner John Bergly, Clerk Administrat= Gary Berger and
<br /> Deputy Clerk Catherine Iago.
<br /> lNl'RO; NEW Clerk Administrator Berger introduced the Administrative
<br /> EMPIDYEE, Secretary Tery Shields to Councilmembers. He advised Ms,
<br /> Shields was fonnerly enployed by the City of Fridley.
<br /> Councilmembers welcomed Ms, Shields as a member of the city staff.
<br /> ADOPr AGENDA Malone moved, seconded by Hicks, to adopt the October 15
<br /> Agenda as suhnitted, Motion carried unanimously, (5-0)
<br /> APPIDVE COlll1cilInernber Malone referred to the September 9 Council
<br /> MINUI'ES minutes, page 9, under "Purchase Park EilUipment", He
<br /> stated he does not recall authorizing the Park Direct.=
<br /> to obtain sealed bids; only directed the Park Direct.= to compile the
<br /> specifications for the equipment and return to Council.
<br /> Malone indicated the intent was to request the Park Director to prepare the
<br /> . specifications and return to Council for authorization to advertise for bids for
<br /> the equipment, He advised the bid notice is cu=entlyadvertised.
<br /> eouncilmembers and staff offered their recollection of the discussion, It was
<br /> detennined a misunderstarx:ling may have occurred, Council suggested a motion
<br /> should be passed auth=izing the advertisement of bids for the equipment.
<br /> Growe moved, seconded by Malone, to approve the September
<br /> 9 and 30 Council Meeting Minutes as suhnitted, Motion carried unan:iJnously, (5-0)
<br /> mNSENT Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to approve the Consent
<br /> CALENDAR Calendar as suhnitted, and authorize execution of all
<br /> necessary documents contained therein:
<br /> a, Adopt Resolution No. 91-56, Receiving the Feasibility Report and Ordering
<br /> a Public Hearing and Resolution No. 91-57, Ordering Preparation of Plans and
<br /> Specifications for the Arden Place Drainage Inprovement,
<br /> b, Awrove Pay Estimate No, 2, North Snelling Avenue l111provements,
<br /> c, Authorize Purchase of Video Equipment.
<br /> d, Approve List of Claims and Payroll.
<br /> Motion carried unanimously, (5-0)
