SWANSON of Accountant T, J, SWanson to pennanent employee status. <br /> '!he Administrator advised he conducted a successful perfonnance evaluation for <br /> SWanson on September 18, after completion of her six-month probationary period, <br /> He recommended appoinbnent of SWanson to pernanent status and a salary increase <br /> retroactive to August 4, 1991. <br /> '!here was Council discussion relative to extending the probationary status for <br /> this employee f= a period of 90 days, It was the general consensus of the <br /> Council1nembers that the employee is attentive to duties, however, the position <br /> does not appear to be functioning as initially envisioned, <br /> Council1nember Mahowald disagreed with the extension of the probationary status <br /> and indicated he would prefer to rely on the Administrator's reconunendation. <br /> Hicks moved, seconde::l by Gr"owe, to extend the <br /> probationary status f= Accountant T,J, SWanson f= a period of 90 days, direct <br /> . the Clerk Administrat= to perfonn another perfornance appraisal at that time, <br /> and separate review of the salary ~tion in 90 days, Motion ca=ied. <br /> (Hicks, Gr"owe, Malone and Sather voting in favor; Mahowald opposed) (4-1) <br /> PERFORMANCE EIlAL, Council was referred to the memorandum fram the Clerk <br /> DmJI'Y CLERK IAGO Administrator dated 10-9-91, regarding the annual <br /> performance evaluation for Deputy Clerk Catherine Iago. <br /> Berger recommended a salary increase from step 3 to step 4 of the 1991 Pay Plan, <br /> based on a positive perfornance evaluation f= Iago, <br /> Council1nember Malone stated he would prefer the annual performance evaluations <br /> for employees be accarnplished pri= to the anniversary date to eliminate the need <br /> f= retroactive pay, <br /> Mahowald moved, seconde::l by Gr"owe, to approve the salary <br /> increase and movement fram step 3 to step 4 in the 1991 Pay Plan f= Deputy Clerk <br /> Catherine Iago, retroactive to September 3, 1991, as recommended by the Clerk <br /> Administrator and based on a positive annual perfornance evaluation.
