(Cent'd) Council1nember Malone questioned if the County would <br /> approach the project in the same manner outlined in the <br /> feasibility report. <br /> Maurer advised that is =rrect, however, the County may not schedule the project <br /> f= approximately one = two years. <br /> 'Ihere was discussion relative to the location of the existing utilities and <br /> relocation of the utilities, <br /> Mayor Sather preferred the residents be urged to =nsider reconstruction of the <br /> street and relocation of the existing utilities to the front of the properties. <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Malone, to acknowledge receipt <br /> of the Feasibility Report f= street and Utility IInproven1ents on stowe Avenue and <br /> direct the City Administrator and city Engineer to schedule an informal meeting <br /> with residents of stowe Avenue, in late October or early November, to discuss the <br /> report. Motion carried unanimously, (5-0) <br /> STA'lUS REPORI'i Ceuncil1nember Malone questioned the status of the Katie <br /> KATIE lANE lane easement encroachment problem. <br /> '!he Administrator advised he would discuss this matter with the Public Works <br /> SUperintendent and forward the information to Council. <br /> REPORI'i 1992 Council was referred to the report from Engineer Maurer <br /> . P\IMI'. MANAGEMENT dated 10-7-91, relative to the 1992 street Reconstruction <br /> STREE:l' RECONSTRUCI'. portion of the Pavement Management program. <br /> Maurer reviewed the streets rated as possible reconstruction projects in 1992 and <br /> rationale f= staff recommending the improvement of Tiller lane, He suggested <br /> Council =nsider authorizing the t.eginning stages of the i111provement project, <br /> those being preparation of a feasibility study and gathering of field information <br /> this Fall, which would allow the other aspects of the project to occur during the <br /> winter roonths, if the project is undertaken. Maurer advised the project could <br /> then be scheduled early in the 1992 construction season, <br /> '!he Engineer reviewed the four streets identified as requiring reconstruction and <br /> outlined the staff recatmnendation that Tiller lane be reconstructed as the 1992 <br /> project, Maurer advised the recommendation is based on the number of residents <br /> using Tiller lane as a major ingress and egress route, the size of the project <br /> and the =ndition of the street, He suggested Council consider directing the <br /> preparation of the feasibility study for the Tiller lane project, <br /> 'Ihere was discussion relative to the aEsessable footage on Tiller lane, Engineer <br /> Maurer advised no calculations have been made regarding assessable footage. <br /> May= Sather questioned if other action should be taken at this time to auth=ize <br /> further work on the project, <br /> Engineer Maurer explained a request to authorize survey work for the project may <br /> . be suJ:xnitted at a later date, depending on how the project progresses, <br /> Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to direct the City <br /> Engineer to prepare the Feasibility study on the Reconstruction of Tiller lane, <br /> from Hamline Avenue to Lexington Avenue. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br />
