(5-0) <br /> <br />CXJUNCIL cn1MENl'S <br />OAK AVE; AHLBERG <br />LEITER <br /> <br />Colll1cilmernber Malone questioned the status of the Oak <br />Avenue settlement, outlined in Mr. Ahlberg's letter. <br /> <br />Public W=ks SUperintendent Winkel stated he has reviewed the matter with the <br />City Engineer and will contact Mr. Ahlberg. <br /> <br />AlARM F:RlX:EDURES Councilmernber Malone requested the three employees that <br />entered the J:uilding during the weekend of the b..1rglary <br />at City Hall be counseled by their innnediate supervisor regarding this matter. He <br />stated the Deparbnent Heads should make it clear to those employees that the <br />matter was handled inar:propriately and there are potential hazards to their <br />safety if they enter a blllding which has an audible alarm in operation. He <br />further requested the Deparbnent Heads report to Council that such conversations <br />have taken place with these employees. <br /> <br />Council COl'lCllTI'ed the employees did not display appropriate behavior during entJy <br />to the blllding. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator reported there was no City procedure relating to this matter; <br />since the b..1rglary, a policy has been drafted. He advised he has scheduled a <br />meeting to review the policy with all staff members, and has forwarded the policy <br />to the Ramsey County Sheriff's DepartJnent for input. <br /> <br />'Ihere was also discussion regarding the extent of responsibility by the alarm <br />CClllpany.
