Attachment A <br />Position Title: <br />Department: <br />Accountable to: <br />Positions Supervised <br />Status: <br />-tZ D�EN,HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />Maintenance Worker <br />Public Works <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />None <br />Reaular Full Time <br />July 2025 <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVES <br />Performs intermediate skilled trades work maintaining and repairing City streets, sanitary and storm sewers, <br />water systems, buildings, parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, trails, recreational facilities, vehicles, machinery, <br />various other equipment, and related duties as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under supervision of <br />the Public Works Superintendent, but with high autonomy. <br />QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br />To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. <br />The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable <br />accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION <br />Maintains and repairs City streets including blacktop patching, asphalt paving, street sweeping, and debris <br />removal. <br />Perform limited plumbing, painting, carpentry and other general maintenance work on park and recreation <br />buildings and facilities. <br />Operates various types of equipment including tractor backhoe, dump trucks, snowplows, sanding equipment, <br />sewer cleaning equipment, and street sweepers. <br />Orders parts and monitors inventory of equipment, tools and supplies. <br />Performs snow removal activities and de-icing of City streets. <br />Installs and repairs street signage and electronic signage/warning devices. <br />Installs temporary traffic control. Performs flagging duties, as needed. <br />May perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on all City vehicles and equipment. Responsible for <br />maintaining vehicle maintenance and repair records. <br />Performs trailer towing and proper load securement. <br />Repairs pumps, motors, and sewage lift stations. <br />Performs maintenance on water towers and booster stations. <br />
