<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of the Arden Hills Council Worksession Meeting, 5/18/92 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />STAFFING (CONT'D) <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Hicks, to retain the <br />Temporary Accountant on the city payroll at a rate of 30 <br />hours per week, for the remainder of the contract term with <br />Olsten and to recommend hire of the individual at the 85 <br />percent step of the current salary for this position. Motion <br />carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Council directed the Acting Administrator to contact <br />Attorney Filla to discuss the preparation of a resolution <br />which delegates authority to the City Administrator, as <br />outlined in the sample job descriptions from other <br />communities. Iago was further directed to contact Jim <br />Brimeyer to discuss costs for a "mini" search for the <br />Administrator position. <br /> <br />Council concurred that the Organizational Chart prepared by <br />staff is appropriate; suggested that the Deputy Clerk <br />position be placed as an off-shoot of the Administrator and <br />possibly renamed "Assistant Administrator/Zoning <br />Administrator". <br /> <br />Council concurred that in the absence of Fred Reed, it would <br />be appropriate for the PUblic Works Superintendent to hire <br />Mr. Perron and would take action on this matter at the <br />5/26/92 Regular Meeting. <br /> <br />It was further directed that the Public Works Superintendent <br />prepare a letter to Fred Reed requesting an examination by a <br />city chosen physician prior to return to employment. <br /> <br />There was discussion relating to preparation of a policy for <br />granting extension/leave of absence for such disabilities. <br /> <br />Council reviewed information prepared on part-time employee; <br />requested more information from staff, which outlines how to <br />fund the position and details job duties. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Growe moved, seconded by Mahwald, that the meeting be <br />adjourned at 7:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
