City <br />Eng:neer Graham advised that this heari~g is an improvement <br />hearing and not a~ assessment hearing. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3:caha:n l"cport.ed that a:ter a ::lumber- of qT:.estioI1s arose at <br />ths March 9 hearing} ne~ bids were received :cr the Keithson <br />PonJ Improvement project and plans have been discussed with <br />concerned residents. He stated that the lowest bid received <br />before the March 9 hearing was approximately $28,800; the <br />low bid for the amended project is $34,514. He added that <br />the engi:1eers I l::'ecommendation is to award the project to the <br />low bidder, Machtemes Construction, Inc. He advised that, <br />based on the Machtemes bid and the 32% overhead rate <br />established in the City's Assessment Manual, the total <br />project ~ost is $45/558.48. <br />
