McAllister said <br />she again protests the whole thing and will not vote on ~t; aske4 <br />what else has not been considered. <br /> <br />Woodburn said the interest on the unpaid balance was mentioned <br />in negotiations; asked for a 5 minute recess in order to collect <br />his thoughts on the matter. ~ <br /> <br />Motion carried (Mulcahy, Christiansen, Woodburn voting in favor <br />of the motion; McAllister abstained) (3-0-1) <br /> <br />Landscape Inspection Reports; <br /> <br />A. McDonalds Restaurant <br />B. W.W. Grainger Company <br />C. Northwestern College <br /> <br />DefeYred to next Council meeting when Council will have landscape <br />plans available for review. McNiesh reported she had aent copies <br />of the landscape inspection reports to the property owners; has <br />had no response to date. <br /> <br />/" <br />Approval of Skatin~ Rink Attendants and Leaders for Youth Tumbling <br />and Ice SkatinR Lessons <br />Council was referred to Buckley's memo of 12/8/83. <br /> <br />In discussion it was noted that it had been requested by Council <br />that the Parks Director "hold the line" on salaries; appears <br />that a 6.2% increase is proposed in at least one instance. <br /> <br />Christiansen moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council approve <br />the salaries as listed with the recommendation that .rate for ice <br />skating be $6.80/hr instead of $6.90/hr. 'Motion carried <br />unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Approval to Purchase Toro' Hand Mower <br />Council was refe rred to Buckley' a memo (12/8/83) re purchase of <br />a hand. mower. <br /> <br />McAllister moved, aeconded by Mulcahy, that Council approve the <br />purchase aa per memo. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />(Council concurred that the mower should have been budgeted in <br />1984, not 1983)., <br /> <br />Resignation - Councilman Diane McAllister <br />Council members expressed their sorrow and regrets that Diane <br />will be moving; expresaed their pleasure in serving with her on <br />the Council, and wished Diane and he r husband well in Cincinnati.... <br /> <br />Christiansen moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council accept .~ <br />Diane's resignation from the Council, effective December 31, 1983. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (3-0) <br /> <br />Council discussed the appointment of a replacement on the Council <br />for the remainder of Diane's term (through December 31, 1984). <br />McNiesh reported that the December Town Crier is carrying the <br />notice of Diane's resignation and cons'equent opening on the Council <br />for the remainder of her term of office; said she'd like to also <br />put a notice in the Bulletin and Dispatch North Area Section. <br /> <br />Council cODcurred to accept applications for appointment and <br />resume's at the Village office until 5 p.m. on January 13., 1984, <br />and tentatively scheduled the appointment on the January SJth <br />Council Agenda.
