Sanitary Sewer Manhole Inspections This work is completed by PW maintenance staff while cleaning and televising the sanitary sewer in a designated one-third of the City. Listed below are few items that the PW maintenance staff are looking for during a manhole inspection. • Evidence of inflow and infiltration (I&I) • Tree root intrusion and the overall condition of the structure. • Adjusting rings, mortar, or any other concrete repairs needs. Once the manhole inspections are completed, the information is uploaded into the Collector software system/ GIS database. Sanitary Manhole Rings - Replacement, Reset Casting and Pave (casting and lid replacement if needed) 720 FTE labor hours required, 3 FTEs required, high priority. • MH A-165 (Replace adjusting rings and casting) • MH 13-008 (Buried under asphalt patch) • MH A-264 (Fix issue with cover) • MH A-282 (Cover under seal coat) • MH A-247A (Replace cracked casting) • MH A-211 (Remove and address tree roots in structure) • MH A-263 (Address infiltration above upstream pipe) • MH A-047 (Plastic ring at casting is deformed) • MH A-272 (Lid froze in casting) • MH A-271 (Lid froze in casting) • MH A-264 (Lid froze in casting) • MH 2-057 (Inspection shows adjusting rings need to be redone. This should have been taken care of by the trail project in 2024. Identified structures that repairs will be added to the 2026 PW Maintenance Plan. 57
