<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />September 26, 1983 <br />Page Six <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Board of Appeals Meeting <br /> <br />Hicks advised of a Board of Appeals meeting on Thursday, <br />September 29th at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall; reported that <br />he cannot attend as liaison. Mulcahy will try to attend the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Fire Board Meeting <br /> <br />McAllister reported that a Fire Board meeting has been <br />scheduled relative to land for proposed new fire station. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH <br /> <br />Request for Street Light at Colleen/Hamline <br /> <br />Request was referred to the Public Safe,ty Committee for its <br />recommendations to Council; applicant to be advised of meeting <br />date and invited to attend. <br /> <br />October Council Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />McNiesh reported that the Regular Council meeting of October <br />10th must be re-scheduled because of the Columbus Day Holiday. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council schedule a <br />Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 11th and a Regular <br />Council Meeting on Monday, October 31st. Motion carried <br />unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Secretary for Committee Meetings <br /> <br />Mulcahy moved, seconded <br />the employment of Helen <br />Meetings at $5.25/hour. <br /> <br />by McAllister, that Council authorize <br />Schmidt as Secretary for Committee <br />Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />1983-84 Dues - The Municipal Caucus <br /> <br />(Approved in 1984 Budget, as adopted) <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council approve the <br />Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Agreement <br /> <br />McNiesh reported that EPA authorization for the water service <br />construction, north of Highway 96, on Highway 10 is anticipated <br />this week; referred Council to Substate Agreement and State Grant <br />Agreement Between Minnesota Pollution Control ,Agency and Ci ty of <br />Arden Hills, wich can then be executed by the City. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council authorize the <br />execution of the Agreement, contingent upon authorization by <br />EPA to provide Super Fund financial assistance. Motion carried <br />unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Appeal of Assessments (Impr, No. SS-W-P-ST-81-3), Rhoda and <br />William Behr <br /> <br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memo of 9-26-83, advising <br />that Behrs plan to appeal this assessment of $23,474.95. <br />McNiesh read letter, received today from Mr. and Mrs. Behr, <br />and reported she also received a Senior Citizen Affadavit, <br />completed by William Behr, applying for deferral of assessments, <br />declaring a Senior Citizen hardship.
