<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />August 8, 1983 <br />Page Six <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Cable TV <br /> <br />McAllister reported that she attended the meetIng and referred Councl I to the <br />proposed 1984 budget; noted that $6,900 (Arden HI lis' Initial contrIbution) <br />wll I be reimbursed to Arden HII Is by Group W; noted that 1/4 of $6,900 is Arden <br />HII Is' contribution to fund the last quarter of 1983. <br /> <br />Fall Festival <br /> <br />Councl I was referred to memo from Buckley (8-5-83) re the Arden Hills Fall <br />Festival on Saturday, September 17th. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAl lister, that Councl I waive any permit fees that ~ <br />might be applicable, and authorize use of a City vehicle to move the stage <br />from Edina to Arden HI lis and back. Motion carrIed unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Board of Appeals Meetlnq <br /> <br />Hicks reported that the Board of Appeals spent 1/2 hour before the August <br />Planning CommissIon meetIng with Planner Orlyn Mi I ler relative to variance <br />applications and circumstances and basIs for granting variances; feels It <br />was a half-hour wel I spent. It was noted that Board of Appeals meetings, at <br />least during the summer months, wi II be scheduled on Thursday evenings; this <br />was done to assist the chairman In scheduling meetings. (MeetIng day may <br />have to be changed to Saturday mornings during winter months.) <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH <br /> <br />ClaIms and Payrol I <br /> <br />Councl I was referred to two lists of checks, In addition to list of August Claims <br />and Payroll, one totalling $197,232.05 and the other totalling $75,215.76 (which <br />wit I appear on the September list of Claims). <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by ChrIstiansen, that the Councl I approve the Claims and <br />Payrol I as presented. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Special Auqust Council Meetlnq <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Councl I schedule a Special Councl I <br />Meeting on Monday, August 22nd at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall. MotIon carried <br />unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Reslqnatlon of Shirley Marshal I <br /> <br />McNlesh reported the resignation of Shirley Marshall as Recording Secretary, <br />effective August 31st. <br /> <br />Christiansen moved to accept with regret the resignatIon of Shirley Marshal I. <br />Motion was seconded by McAllIster and carrIed unanImously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Council suggested that a notice of the vacancy be placed <br />Town Crier. McNlesh to ask Shirley Marshall If she wll I <br />the Minutes of the September finance CommIttee Meeting. <br /> <br />In the next Issue of the <br />be available to record <br /> <br />Permit/License Fees <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />McNlesh asked Counci I If current or proposed Permit/License fees should be used <br />for 1984 Proposed Budget.
