Minutes Vi llage Monday, Village of Regular Council Meeting of Arden Hills April 25, 1983 - 7:30 p.m. Hall Call to Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. . Roll Call Present - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Diane McAllister, Dale Hicks, Michael Christiansen, Thomas Mulcahy (about 7:38 p.m.) Absent - None Also Present - Engineers Donald Christoffersen and Michael Kraemer, Parks Director John Buckley, Public Works Supervisor Bud Johansen, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm Approval of Minutes Christiansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that the Minutes of the April 11th Council meeting be approved as amended. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). Business from the Floor None (Mulcahy arrived at the meeting) REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN Resolution No. 83-26, Approving Plans and Specifications and ~rdering Advertisement for Bids on Improvement No. SS-W-P-ST-83-3. Council was referred to plans for streets and utilities for Hazel- nut Park Addition (phase I), Improvement SS-W-P-ST 83-3. After review of tha plans for phase 1 construction, Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council adopt Resolution No. 83-26, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERINC ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-P-ST-83-3. Motion carried unan- imously (5-0). (Bid opening to be on May 25, 1983 at 2:00 p.m.) Special Council Meeting Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council schedule a Special Council meeting on Tuesday, May 31st at 5:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, to consider the tabulation of bids for Improvement No. SS- W-P-ST-83-3. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). . Approval of Cummings Park Site Concept Plan and Order Plans and Specifications For Grading Buckley explained that three concept plans for Cummings Park were presented at a Parks meeting in 1981; committee recommended Plan 3, but the plan was not acceptable to the Cummings Park neighbor- hood. Buckley reporte~ that a Parks sub-committee (Dick Klick, Mel Wilde, Tim Tuggle, Perry Lippert, Alan Montgomery, John Buckley) reviewed the entire concept of Cummings Park, after which a re- vised plan was presented on April 12th for Committee and neighbor- hood reaction. Buckley referred Council to the revised concept plan for Cummings Park (4-4-83), recommended for approval by the Parks Committee, consisting of a multi-purpose regulation softball field and pos- sible future bockey rink (south area) tennis courts and multi- purpose hard surface court (west area) neighborhood informal play area, picnic area and play equipment for young children (north area) and a walking trail system, connecting with the Lexington
