<br />~ <br /> <br />_J" cc.,_hi:ts. <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Vi llage <br />Monday, <br />Village <br /> <br />of Regular Council Meeting <br />of Arden Hills <br />April 25, 1983 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called <br />the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Diane McAllister, <br />Dale Hicks, Michael Christiansen, Thomas Mulcahy <br />(about 7:38 p.m.) <br /> <br />Absent - None <br /> <br />Also Present - Engineers Donald Christoffersen and Michael Kraemer, <br />Parks Director John Buckley, Public Works Supervisor <br />Bud Johansen, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, <br />Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Christiansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that the Minutes of the <br />April 11th Council meeting be approved as amended. Motion carried <br />unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None <br /> <br />(Mulcahy arrived at the meeting) <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN <br /> <br />Resolution No. 83-26, Approving Plans and Specifications and <br />~rdering Advertisement for Bids on Improvement No. SS-W-P-ST-83-3. <br />Council was referred to plans for streets and utilities for Hazel- <br />nut Park Addition (phase I), Improvement SS-W-P-ST 83-3. <br /> <br />After review of tha plans for phase 1 construction, Hicks moved, <br />seconded by McAllister, that Council adopt Resolution No. 83-26, <br />APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERINC ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS ON IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-P-ST-83-3. Motion carried unan- <br />imously (5-0). <br /> <br />(Bid opening to be on May 25, 1983 at 2:00 p.m.) <br /> <br />Special Council Meeting <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council schedule a Special <br />Council meeting on Tuesday, May 31st at 5:00 p.m. at the Village <br />Hall, to consider the tabulation of bids for Improvement No. SS- <br />W-P-ST-83-3. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Approval of Cummings Park Site Concept Plan and Order Plans and <br />Specifications For Grading <br />Buckley explained that three concept plans for Cummings Park were <br />presented at a Parks meeting in 1981; committee recommended Plan <br />3, but the plan was not acceptable to the Cummings Park neighbor- <br />hood. <br /> <br />Buckley reporte~ that a Parks sub-committee (Dick Klick, Mel <br />Wilde, Tim Tuggle, Perry Lippert, Alan Montgomery, John Buckley) <br />reviewed the entire concept of Cummings Park, after which a re- <br />vised plan was presented on April 12th for Committee and neighbor- <br />hood reaction. <br /> <br />Buckley referred Council to the revised concept plan for Cummings <br />Park (4-4-83), recommended for approval by the Parks Committee, <br />consisting of a multi-purpose regulation softball field and pos- <br />sible future bockey rink (south area) tennis courts and multi- <br />purpose hard surface court (west area) neighborhood informal play <br />area, picnic area and play equipment for young children (north <br />area) and a walking trail system, connecting with the Lexington <br />
