Grainger, Inc. offering <br />a cash park dedication in the amount of $23,800 for the office/ <br />warehouse development on 5.46 acres of land On Round Lake Road <br />West. <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council accept the <br />$23,800 cash donation as satisfaction of the park dedication re- <br />quirements for the W.W. Grainger, Inc. office/warehouse develop- <br />ment. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB (Absent) <br /> <br />Inves tmen ts <br />McNiesh reported the following investments by Treasurer Lamb: <br /> <br />4-18-83 - $440,917.27 at First Federal @ 8.6% interest, <br />maturing 6-17-83. <br /> <br />4-22-83 - $269,384.04 at First Federal @ 8.96% interest, <br />maturing 10-21-83. <br /> <br />Hicks moved to ratify the Treasurer's investments. Motion was <br />seconded by McAllister and carried unanimously (5-0) <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Letter re Ramsey County Sheriff Transfer of Personnel <br />Council was referred to letter from Rauenhorst relative to pro- <br />posed transfer o~ a deputy Sheriff. <br /> <br />After discussion, Council concurred that the management of their <br />personnel should be left with Ramsey County, without the City's <br />involvement (per contract provisions). <br /> <br />Finance Committee Meeting of April 28th <br />Christiansen reported he has a conflict and cannot attend the <br />meeting. McAllister agreed to attend. <br /> <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Meeting of April 27th re Well <br />Pollution in Area of Round Lake and Arsenal <br />Woodburn reported he will attend the meeting. <br /> <br />Action Alert re Proposed Bill to Allow Sympathy Strikes <br />(H.F. 748; S.F. 862 <br />Council will call legislators opposing this legislation. <br /> <br />Newsletter Committee <br />McNiesh reported that she received a call from Kris Poelzer sug- <br />gesting that the Town Crier highlight the Arden Hills' volunteer <br />committees, possibly including "spot profiles" of the committee <br />chairmen. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Proposed Residential Development of the Dorothy McClung <br />Property - Snelling Ave. No. <br />Woodburn reported that a sketch proposal for the development of <br />this property has been submitted for review by the Planner and <br />Engineer; noted that some of the problems with the proposed sub- <br />division relate to coordinating proposed streets with existing <br />streets to the south and east, and the essential involvement of <br />the property to the north for needed right-of-way. <br /> <br />R.C.W.D. Minutes of 3-9-83 re~Expenses <br />McNiesh was requested to call RCWD to find out what action was <br />taken at the 4-21-83 meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH <br /> <br />Payroll <br />McNiesh referred Council to Payroll and check to Metro Waste <br />Commission for approval. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
