<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />March 14, 1983 <br />Page Four <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 230, Amending Ordinance No. 226, Cable <br />Communications Ordinance <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council intro- <br />duce Ordinance No. 230 by title, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 226, KNOWN AS THE CABLE COMMUNICATIONS ORDINANCE. Motion <br />carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council suspend <br />the rules and adopt Ordinance No. 230. Motion carried unanimously <br />(4 -0) . <br /> <br />Advertisement for Bids - 1983 Diseased Tree and Stump Removal <br />Contract <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council authorize <br />Advertisement for Bids for 1983 Diseased Tree and Stump Removal. <br />Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Bids to Replace Carpeting - Office Area <br />Council was referred to Johansen's memo (3-11-83) listing three <br />bids for re-carpeting of the Village Hall office area. <br /> <br />In discusaion, Council noted that the Council will be faced with <br />budget cuts in a couple months; concern wes expressed relative to <br />this expenditure at this time. <br /> <br />Council concurred that the re-carpeting could be delayed until <br />budget cuts are known, poaaibly until Mayor June at the earliest. <br /> <br />Bids for Public Works Pickup Truck <br />Council was referred to Johansen's memo (3-11-83) listing four <br />quotes received for a ~ ton pickup tr4ck. <br /> <br />After diSCUSSion, Christiansen moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that <br />Council authorize the purchaae of a ~ ton Dodge pickup truck from <br />White Bear Dodge, as per memo; cost to not exceed $7,277.00. <br />Motion carried unanimouSly (4-0). <br /> <br />Agreement Between Arden Hills/Shoreview for Operation and <br />Maintenance of Lexington Avenue Bikeway <br />Woodburn read draft of Resolution No. 83-20, RESOLUTION AUTHOR- <br />IZING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF ARDEN HILLS <br />AND SHOREVIEW FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN BIKE PATHS, and <br />draft of JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />AND THE CITY OF SHOREVIEW FOR MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN BIKEWIlYS <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Mulcahy that Council adopt Reso- <br />lution No. 83-20 as presented. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council approve <br />the Arden Hills/Shoreview Joint Powers Agreement as presented. <br />Motion carried unanimoualy (4-0). <br /> <br />ReSOlution No. 83-18, Opposing Proposed Ramsey County <br />Motel/Hotel Tax <br />Council was referred to proposed draft of Resolution No. 83-18, <br />lESOLUTION OPPOSING PROPOSED RAMSEY COUNTY HOTEL/MOTEL TAX. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After discussion, McAllister moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that <br />Council adopt Resolution No. 83-18, as amended. Motion carried <br />unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 83-19, A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE 1983 MOUNDS <br />VIEW HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAM <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council adopt Reso- <br />lution No. 83-19, A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE 1983 MOUNDS <br />VIEW HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAM.
